The torque wrench for multiple bolts or nuts also comprises an actuator unit for inducing a rotary movement in the drive spindles, having an actuating wheel mounted rotatably about the axis of the center of the annular arrangement of the drive spindles as drive wheel, which drives respective output wheels fitted on the drive spindles, wherein the driving movement of the actuating wheel is transmitted to the drive spindle via respective torque limiters.

The first driver head is attached to a distal end of the first output shaft. The second driver head is attached to a distal end of the second output shaft. The yoke is connected to and extends between ends of the first and second output shafts. The yoke defines a position of the distal ends of the first and second shafts relative to each other and is configured to adjust a distance between the first and second driver heads.

Apparatus and method for remote fastener installation

A tool configured to install and torque multiple fasteners, such as nuts and/or bolts, positioned in confined and/or hard to reach areas. The tool includes a body portion, a plurality of fastener retainers, and a structure which permits both the remote tightening and torquing of such fasteners. The tool also provides an actuator for the remote release of torque loads which may build up in the fastener retainers during such torquing of the fasteners. The actuator includes a lever arm pivotally connected to the body portion and a cam that is rotatable between a first position and a second position. A linkage is engaged by the cam and urges the lever arm to a torquing position upon the cam being in the first position and to a torque release position upon the cam being in the second position.

POWER TOOL WITH POSITION CONTROL

A repositionable power wrench includes a housing, a motor arranged inside the housing, and an output shaft, which is rotationally connected to the motor and telescopically arranged with respect to the housing to allow axial movement of the output shaft with respect to the housing between a fully extended position (E.sub.max) and a fully compressed position, with a resilient member being arranged to urge the output shaft towards the fully extended position (E.sub.max). The power wrench also includes or is connectable to a positioning system arranged to monitor a position of the power wrench. The output shaft includes an output end arranged to interact with a fastener. A sensor is arranged to monitor a level of extension (E) of the output shaft with respect to the housing, such that the position of the output end of the output shaft may be determined.

Automatic nut screwing device

An automatic nut screwing device includes a positioning mold plate, a screw shaft, driving gear elements having driving gears, and transmission screwing elements having transmission screw gear units, bolt heads and bolt bodies. The transmission screw gear unit engages an upper out surface of the bolt head. The bolt head of each transmission screw element is fixed with the positioning mold plate. The shaft engaging portion engages with the transmission screw gear unit. The transmission screw gear unit engages with the driving gears such that the transmission screw gear unit is driven to rotate by the shaft engaging portion. A nut socket placing element has nut sockets when the screw shaft is axially rotated to enable the shaft engaging portion of the screw shaft to drive the transmission screw elements, thereby successively rotating elements that result in screw body being rotated to screw with the nut.

An apparatus for providing an efficient platform for installing screws can include a cart with wheels and a screw assembly mounted to the cart. The screw assembly can include a screwing device that rotates a drive shaft that engages a screw, a screw guide tube and a screw feeding tube connected to the screw guide tube. The assembly may include a bracket for coupling to a moveable platform, a screwing device coupled to the bracket and that rotates a drive shaft that engages a screw, a screw guide tube and a screw feed tube connected to the screw guide tube.

Automated removal and replacement of vehicle wheels and tires

Systems, methods and apparatus for automated vehicle wheel removal and replacement are provided. One system includes a computer system with applications for scheduling the replacement of tires for the vehicle. An electronically controlled lift device and robotic apparatus is configured for interaction with the computer system. The lift device mechanically adjusts arms for placement on lift points of vehicles. The robotic apparatus detects positioning of lug nut configuration for a wheel, removes lug nuts, and then removes the wheel from the wheel hub with gripping arms. The wheel and tire are then handed off to a separate tire changing machine. When a new tire is replaced the robotic apparatus then mounts the wheel to the original wheel hub, and then secures the lug nuts to the lug nut bolts.
