Stage mechanism
A stage mechanism includes a feed screw, a fixed stage having a space portion incorporating the feed screw, a movable stage, and a backlash absorbing portion. The feed screw has a first end portion and a second end portion. The stage mechanism further includes a deviation preventing portion preventing the feed screw from deviating in a direction toward the first end portion and a pressing force adjusting portion adjusting the pressing force by which the feed screw is pressed in a direction from the second end portion side to the first end portion. The deviation preventing portion is in contact with a wall of the space portion on the first end portion side. The pressing force adjusting portion is in line contact with and presses the second end portion.
Automated engagement of and disengagement from a fitting
A method and apparatus for automated engagement of a fitting coupled to a structure. A first member of a first engagement device is moved relative to a base in a first direction substantially parallel to an x-axis such that a tapered end portion of the first member passes through a hole in the fitting and moves towards a channel within a second member of a second engagement device. The tapered end portion of the first member is secured within the channel of the second member to thereby engage the fitting between the first engagement device and the second engagement device.

ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR A GEAR CUTTING MACHINE WITH A REDUCED TENDENCY TO VIBRATE
An adjusting device for a machine tool comprises a base body (1), a movable body (2) movable along a moving direction (X) relative to the base body, and a drive (3) for moving the movable body relative to the base body. In order to effectively damp vibrations between the movable body and the base body (in particular so-called stray vibrations) and yet still enable rapid positioning movements of the movable body relative to the base body, the adjusting device comprises an auxiliary body (10) which can be releasably fixed to the base body and, in the released state, can be moved together with the movable body relative to the base body. The adjusting device also comprises at least one vibration damper (11) which is arranged between the auxiliary body and the movable body.

Fence for table saw
A fence assembly for a table saw includes a primary fence including a first elongated body having a first body first side, a first body second side, a first body top side, and a first body bottom side, and a first height measured between the first body top side and the first body bottom side. A secondary fence is pivotally mounted to the primary fence and pivotable between a deployed position adjacent one of the first body first side or the first body second side, and a stowed position adjacent the other of the first body first side or the first body second side. The secondary fence includes a second elongated body having a second body top side and a second body bottom side, and a second height measured between the second body top side and the second body bottom side. The second height is less than the first height.
