TOOL MAGAZINE OF MACHINE TOOL
The present disclosure relates to a tool magazine of a machine tool such as a moving column-type machining center, in which a magazine unit is installed on a saddle, a tool accommodated in a gripper part of the magazine unit is loaded or unloaded in a direction perpendicular to a tool axis, and a gripping part of a change arm directly grips a flange portion of the tool at the time of changing the tools by means of a tool changing part movably installed on the saddle and a tool changing part transfer part configured to move the tool changing part independently of a column, thereby reducing tool change time, improving productivity, minimizing a collision or mechanical interference, and improving stability and reliability in the medium-sized or large-sized machine tool having a length in a width direction.

The present disclosure relates to a machine tool, such as a moving column-type machining center, and a method of operating the same, which are capable of shortening tool change time, improving productivity, minimizing a collision or mechanical interference, and increasing stability and reliability in a medium-sized or large-sized machine tool having a long length in a width direction by means of a magazine installed on a saddle, a tool changing unit movably installed on the saddle, and a tool changing unit transfer part configured to move the tool changing unit independently of a column.
Machine tool having two tool spindles
A machine tool is provided with two vertically oriented tool spindles that are arranged to hold tools and that are movable vertically in a first direction and horizontally in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. Furthermore, the machine tool is provided with two workpiece support devices for clamping workpieces in place. At least one of the two workpiece support devices is movable horizontally in a third direction orthogonal to the first and the second direction. The two tool spindles and the two workpiece support devices are mounted on a common machine frame with a common working space, wherein the two tool spindles are movable parallel to one another in the second direction. The two tool spindles are facing one another.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INJECTING CUTTING FLUID DURING MILLING UNDER DIFFERENT WORKING CONDITIONS
The disclosure provides a method and system for injecting cutting fluid during milling under different working conditions. By analyzing influence of an airflow field in a milling area under different working conditions on injection of cutting fluid, an influence rule of a helical angle and a rotation speed of a cutter on the flow field is quantitatively analyzed, an optimal target distance of a nozzle, an angle between the nozzle and a milling cutter feeding direction and an angle between the nozzle and the surface of a workpiece are comprehensively determined, the nozzle is set according to a determined setting manner, and lubricating oil is sprayed to the milling area by utilizing the nozzle.
Machine tool system
This machine tool system is provided with a tool holder adaptor that has a flange having formed therein: a hole part that contains a tool holder; and an engagement part that engages with a hand of a self-propelled robot, wherein when transporting the tool holder to a machine tool from a tool storage that contains a plurality of tool holder adaptors, the self-propelled robot grasps the tool holder adaptor to transport the tool.
MACHINE TOOL SYSTEM, AND TOOL DETERMINING METHOD
A machine tool is provided with a main shaft configured to have a tool fitted to a distal end portion thereof, a tool magazine for holding a plurality of tools, a tool exchanging arm for exchanging tools between the tool magazine and the rotary main shaft, and a table for attaching a workpiece, wherein the machine tool machines the workpiece by causing the main shaft and the table to move relative to one another in accordance with a machining program, and wherein the machine tool: is provided with an image capturing device for capturing an image of the tool fitted to a tool holder, and an interference checking device which uses the machining program, and shape data relating to the workpiece, the tool, and the machine tool to simulate machining before machining is carried out, to check for the presence or absence of interference between at least the tool and the workpiece; and acquires the shape data relating to the tool from the interference checking device, generates a two-dimensional tool model from the acquired shape data relating to the tool, compares the two-dimensional tool model with an image of the tool captured by the image capturing device, and determines that the tool is invalid if an amount of displacement between the two-dimensional tool model and the image data is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold.
Automatic tool changer
An automatic tool changer includes a cover that partitions a machining area and a non-machining area, and an opening/closing member that opens/closes an opening of the cover by turning in synchronization with rotation of a tool changer magazine. The opening/closing member includes a plate section partitions the machining area and the non-machining area at a position of the opening of the cover. In a case where the tool changer magazine performs tool replacement with respect to a tool storage magazine, the plate section closes the opening of the cover by taking a horizontal posture. In a case where the tool changer magazine performs tool replacement with respect to a main spindle, the plate section opens the opening of the cover by changing its posture from the horizontal posture to an inclined posture or a vertical posture.
Milling system and method under different lubrication conditions

TOOL MANAGEMENT DEVICE THAT MANAGES TOOLS OF TARGET DEVICE INCLUDING TOOL HOLDING MECHANISM THAT HOLDS A PLURALITY OF TOOLS
A tool management device according to the present invention that manages the tools, for a target device including a tool holding mechanism that holds a plurality of tools, includes an information acquisition unit that acquires configuration information including a current tool holding state in the tool holding mechanism, a holding position setting unit that sets holding positions at which the tools are held in the tool holding mechanism based on the above-described configuration information and tool information on the tools, and a command generation unit that generates a drive command for moving the holding positions in the tool holding mechanism to a transfer position at which the tools are transferred.
MACHINE TOOL AND MACHINING METHOD
A machine tool for machining workpieces comprises at least one tool spindle, at least one workpiece table, at least one first tool magazine, and at least one second tool magazine. The at least one tool spindle and the at least one workpiece table are movable relative to one another along a vertical axis and two horizontal axes to machine a workpiece that is clamped on the workpiece table with a tool that is clamped in the tool spindle. The vertical axis and the two horizontal axes are orthogonal to one another. The at least one first tool magazine, a tool set is provided that comprises a plurality of tools for machining, wherein the tools can be selectively clamped in the tool spindle. The at least one second tool magazine, a tool set is provided that comprises a plurality of tools for machining, wherein the tools can be selectively clamped in the tool spindle. Only one tool magazine of the at least one first tool magazine and the at least one second tool magazine is active at a time, so that exclusively the tool set from the respective active tool magazine is used for machining the clamped workpiece. There is also provided a corresponding method of machining workpieces.
