Single factor modeling-constraint method and device for mice chronic fatigue syndrome

The present invention belongs to animal experiments field, disclosed a single factor modeling-constraint method and device for mice chronic fatigue syndrome, the modeling-constraint method is specifically using mineral water bottle to restraint mice; the mineral water bottle is divided into upper, middle and lower parts; the body of mineral water bottle is uniformly drilled for mice to breathe; the inner of the mineral water bottle is blocked by a cardboard to reduce the move space of mice; cover the mice through the divided bottle; one end of the opening is tightly attach to the wall, the other end is tightly attach to the mice feeding box, and keeping 30 minutes to restraint. The present invention utilizes mineral water bottle to make three simple restraint tube, not only saves the costs of experiment, but also turns waste into treasure, which is a simple operation, and increases the possibility of the experiment.

LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT IMPLEMENT

An implement adapted to be mounted on a self-propelled vehicle is provided for transporting an animal. The implement includes a platform defining a platform perimeter for supporting the animal thereon. An implement frame extends around the platform perimeter such that the implement frame defines a predetermined area upon the platform for positioning of the animal during a transport event. The implement frame includes an anterior frame section operable for allowing anterior access to and from the predetermined area and a gate for allowing lateral access to and from the predetermined area. A first winch assembly is operatively coupled to the implement frame for assisting with loading the animal into the predetermined area when the animal is unable to move under its own power. The implement further includes a hydraulic assembly operatively coupled to the implement frame for selectively actuating the anterior frame section and the first winch assembly.

Cattle immobilization apparatus

An apparatus for immobilizing cattle with a horizontally oriented inside ladder and a horizontally oriented outside ladder that is parallel to the inside ladder. The inside ladder is configured to slide laterally relative to the outside ladder. The top rail of the inside ladder is parallel to and spaced apart from the top rail of the outside ladder, and the bottom rail of the inside ladder is parallel to and spaced apart from the bottom rail of the outside ladder. The inside and outside ladders each comprises a plurality of vertically oriented, equally spaced rods that extend from the top rail to the bottom rail. The proximal end of the inside ladder is attached to a hydraulic cylinder that slides the inside ladder laterally relative to the outside ladder.

Rodent immobilization apparatus and method of use thereof
09622842 · 2017-04-18 · ·

A rodent immobilizing apparatus for use during experimental procedures, dissection, and sample procurement. The apparatus has two (2) points of adherence to the dissection board, one at the head/jaw region and one at the tail region. Generally, the rodent immobilizing apparatus includes a base, a bed positioned atop the base, a bank disposed along one side of the bed, another bank disposed along the opposite side of the bed, a string/wire hook affixed to each bank with string/wire therebetween, and a tail clip/clamp positioned at an inferior portion of the bed. The bed is slidable along the banks to accommodate different sized rodents. In operation, an anesthetized/euthanized rodent is positioned supine on the bed. The bed slides along the banks, so that the string/wire is hooked within the rodent's jaw. The tail is clamped to the bed, and the bed is pulled back to stretch out the rodent, thus immobilizing the rodent completely and rapidly.
