CUTTING COMPONENT WITH FASTENING PORTION
A cutting component for a machine including a moldboard with a first end and an adapter plate with an adapter slot mounted to the moldboard proximate the first end. The cutting component can include body portion and a fastening portion that extends from the body portion. The fastener portion is shaped to slidably mate with the adapter slot of the adapter plate. The fastening portion can be shaped with a first portion located at the interface between the body portion and the fastening portion, and a second portion located further from the body portion than the first portion and shaped wider than the first portion. The difference in width between the first portion and second portion, allows the cutting component engage with the adapter plate from within in the adapter slot and resist to resist working loads with material during operation of the machine.

The cutting component can include body portion and a fastening portion that extends from the body portion. The fastener portion is shaped to slidably mate with the adapter slot of the adapter plate. The fastening portion can be shaped with a first portion located at the interface between the body portion and the fastening portion, and a second portion located further from the body portion than the first portion and shaped wider than the first portion. The blade assembly may include a blade having a surface defined between an upper edge and a lower edge of the blade, the lower edge being associated with a cutting edge, and a wear plate attached to the blade. The wear plate may extend along the surface and terminate short of the lower edge. The wear plate may have a plurality of accumulation members.

A second disc-shaped cutting element (105) having a second cutting edge (106) is arranged on the support structure (101) and is designed such that when the support structure (101) is moved on the ground (120) along a ploughing direction (110), a base region (203) of a soil ridge (201) of the ground (120) can be cut by means of a second cutting region (118) of the second cutting edge (106), wherein the second cutting element (105) is arranged relative to the first cutting element (102) in the ploughing direction (110) such that the second cutting region (118) is arranged before the first cutting region (104) in the ploughing direction.
