KNIFE HANDLE WITH INTEGRATED SHARPENER
A knife handle comprising a handle body with a proximal end and a distal end, a sharpener body removably attached to the handle body, the sharpener body comprising at least one cut-away for housing a replaceable sharpener, the sharpener body rotatable relative to the handle body, and a selectively actuatable locking mechanism for locking the sharpener body in place on the handle body. The selectively actuatable locking mechanism may have a first, locked position wherein the sharpener body cannot rotate relative to the handle body and a second, open position wherein the sharpener body can rotate relative to the handle body. The selectively actuatable locking mechanism may be biased in the first, locked position.
Knife sharpening systems
Knife sharpener systems and methods are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a knife sharpening system can include a housing configured to receive a knife blade at a proximal end thereof and a sharpening element movably mounted to the housing and configured to sharpen a cutting edge of a knife blade by moving relative to the housing along and against a cutting edge of a knife blade disposed in the housing. The knife sharpening system can include an access door pivotally coupled to a distal end of the housing and configured to allow access to the sharpening element to allow removal of at least a portion of the sharpening element.
Knife sharpening systems
Knife sharpener systems and methods are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a knife sharpening system can include a support structure configured to hold a knife having a handle and a blade extending therefrom, and a carriage assembly mounted on the support structure. The carriage assembly can have a sharpening element that is configured to sharpen a cutting edge of the blade. The carriage assembly can be movable relative to the knife blade to cause the sharpening element to apply a force to the cutting edge of the knife blade.
