Vise
A vise includes a groove-shaped vise body; an internally threaded first sliding member in the vise body; an internally threaded second sliding member in the vise body; a fixed jaw secured to the vise body; a first movable jaw on the first sliding member, a second movable jaw on the second sliding member, a rotatable shaft at an end of the vise body, an actuation assembly in the vise body and including a hollow first threaded shaft passing through and secured to the first sliding member, and secured to the fastening device, a hollow second threaded shaft passing through the second sliding member and secured to the second sliding member, a first movable rod in the first threaded shaft and secured to the rotatable shaft, a second movable rod in the second threaded shaft, and a pushing rod engaging the first movable rod, and a force transmitting assembly.
TOOLING FIXTURE
Tooling fixture includes an installation mount, a rail fixed to the installation mount and a pair of movable jaws which can be clamped or loosened relative to each other and are fixed on the rail. A clamping drive structure for clamping the movable jaws is connected to the movable jaws. The clamping drive mechanism includes a screw and a screw nut matched with the screw. The movable jaws are connected with the screw nut respectively. The screw is rotated, and the movable jaws move relatively to clamp or loosen the work piece. By the cooperation of the screw and the nut, the movable jaws slide on the rail to effectively clamp the work piece. In addition, the number of movable jaws can be set on demand so that they are matched with the screw and the screw nut.
Machine vise anti-lift jaws
A machine-tool vise is described that employs an articulated two-piece movable jaw including a jaw nut that engages the lead screw and a jaw bit coupled to the jaw nut through a slanted interface wherein the slanted interface between the nut and the bit is located at the top of the bit to eliminate the secondary effects found in the prior art.
Clamp Locking Mechanism
A clamp release mechanism is provided. The clamp includes a body, a shaft slideably coupled to the body, a fixed jaw, and a moveable jaw coupled to the shaft. A locking component actuates between a locked position and an unlocked position. When in the locked position, the locking component biases the shaft to remain stationary with respect to the body. The clamp includes a securing component pivotally coupled to the locking component, and a biasing element that biases the securing components towards the shaft.
PORTABLE WORK HOLDING DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY
A work holding device includes a first jaw piece having an elongated first connection member for connecting the work holding device to a support. The first connection member defines a first passage. A second jaw piece has an elongated second connection member positionable within the first passage. The second connection member defines a second passage in communication with the first passage. A spindle assembly movably couples the second jaw piece to the first jaw piece. The spindle assembly is configured to move the second jaw piece with respect to the first jaw piece to create a clamping pressure when an object is placed between the first jaw piece and the second jaw piece.
Vise
The present invention relates to a novel vise that operates in both a threaded and unthreaded mode. The vise includes a fixed block, a movable head, a rod, a ratchet mechanism, a threaded mechanism and a toggle mechanism. In the threaded mode, the movable head may only be moved by rotating the rod. In the unthreaded mode, the movable head may only be moved by applying force to the movable head in the desired direction of movement.
POWER TOOL ASSEMBLY, POWER TOOL BASE AND WORKPIECE CLAMP ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
A power tool assembly includes a base having a work surface, which is configured to receive a workpiece. A workpiece clamp assembly is moveably mountable on the work surface. The workpiece clamp assembly has a moveable clamp mount configured to fix the workpiece claim assembly in a plurality of different positions on the work surface, a clamp arm being operatively engageable with the moveable clamp mount and configured to move in a direction towards the fence, and at least one locking pin moveable between a first position and a second with respect to the moveable clamp mount wherein in the first position the at least one locking pin is configured to fix the workpiece clamp assembly to the base and in the second position the at least one locking pin is configured to release the workpiece clamp assembly from the base.
Vise assembly
A vise assembly is disclosed. In one example, the vise assembly includes a vise body and a jaw pusher movably coupled to the vise body. The jaw pusher includes a jaw insert having a first top edge and a second top edge, where the first top edge is an outward extending radius edge. A jaw is provided having a jaw top and a jaw bottom, the jaw bottom including a recess for receiving the jaw insert, the recess including a ramped surface extending longitudinally along a top edge for receiving the jaw insert radius edge and wherein the positioned on the jaw pusher without the use of tools.
WORKPIECE SECURING DEVICE
This disclosure is directed to a method for forming and using one or more workpiece securing devices to reduce the deflections and vibrations of the workpiece during machining, as well as the time and labor associated with machining multiple workpieces. The method includes depositing material onto a surface of a movable jaw of a vise to form a first jaw protrusion and depositing material onto a surface of a stationary jaw of the vise to form a second jaw protrusion. A workpiece can be secured between the first and second jaw protrusions and then can be machined.
Brush seal mounting for a vise jaw
A jaw nut of a vise has a threaded bore with at least one opening on an end face. The jaw nut includes an inner annular groove concentric with a centerline of the threaded bore. The inner annular groove has a radius larger than a radius of the at least one opening from the centerline so as to provide at least a portion of an annular flange about the at least one opening having an inner annular surface facing in a direction opposite the end face. A threaded screw supported for rotation on the vise body threadably engages the threaded bore of the jaw nut. A brush seal is disposed in the inner annular groove with an outwardly facing annular surface engaging the inner annular surface of the inner annular groove.
