Roller basket finishing attachment

A finishing attachment for a tillage implement has a support arm configured to mount to the frame so that a long dimension of the support arm extends in a fore-aft direction of the implement. A cross-bar having a long dimension extending transverse to the fore-aft direction is coupled to a free end of the support arm. A roller basket is mounted to the cross-bar for rotation with respect to the cross-bar. A pivot bracket couples the free end of the support arm to the cross-bar. The pivot bracket forms a pivot axis extending substantially in the fore-aft direction of travel about which the roller basket pivots.

An agricultural implement includes a frame and a basket assembly supported on the frame such that the basket assembly is configured to roll relative to a surface of a field as the agricultural implement travels across the field, with the basket assembly including a plurality of bars spaced circumferentially about an outer perimeter of the basket assembly. Furthermore, the agricultural implement includes a sensor configured to generate data indicative of a width of a bar of the plurality of the bars. Additionally, the agricultural implement includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the sensor. In this respect, the computing system is configured to determine the width of the bar based on the data generated by the sensor. Moreover, the computing system is configured to determine when the basket assembly is plugged based on the determined width.

Tillage implement

A tillage implement comprising a main frame, a front group of coulter blades carried by the main frame and extending generally laterally, and a rear group of coulter blades carried by the main frame and extending generally laterally. The tillage implement additionally comprises a set of wheels configured to support the main frame and positioned generally between the front and rear groups of coulter blades. The tillage implement additionally comprises a group of harrow assemblies carried by the main frame and positioned rearward of the rear group of coulter blades. The tillage implement additionally comprises a front group of finishing reels carried by the main frame, extending generally laterally, and positioned rearward of the group of harrow assemblies. Furthermore, the tillage implement comprises a rear group of finishing reels carried by the main frame, extending generally laterally, and positioned rearward of the front group of finishing reels.

Pivoting bearing assembly

A sleeve type bushing/bearing is assembled/pressed into a pivoting frame structure. This bearing runs on a spindle tube which is bolted rigidly to a support arm structure. The support arm structure supports the outside diameter of the spindle tube and well as clamping to the end face of the spindle tube. This support eliminates most of the shear load from being applied at the joint face to the bolt outside diameter. The larger outside diameter of the spindle tube can support more shear force through the joint allowing greater functional pressure to be applied through the joint without failure. The Joint can be easily assembled and disassembled in multiple configurations and for replacement of worn parts if needed and includes a sleeve type bearing which is maintenance free and requires no greasing or other lubrication.

Vertical tillage system

A vertical tilling implement to be pulled behind and agricultural vehicle having a number of gangs of fluted-concave disc blades, rolling baskets, and wheels connected to a main frame. As the vertical tilling implement is pulled, the fluted-concave disc blades move the soil in a direction lateral to the side of the blades as well as up. Meanwhile, the rolling bars aid in leveling the seedbed and crushing the remaining large pieces of soil. The vertical tilling implement reduces the amount of subsoil compaction and cuts through heavy residue making it ideal for use in the fall or in the spring.

Agricultural implement with a scraper internal to a rolling basket

An agricultural implement having a rolling basket is disclosed. The rolling basket includes a plurality of elongated members arranged in a substantially cylindrical shape. A stationary internal scraper is disposed in the inner chamber of the rolling basket and is adapted for breaking up a material from the inner chamber as the rolling basket is rotated around the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket. The internal scraper extends in an upward direction with respect to the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket with the upper edge of the internal scraper distally spaced away from and above the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket and with the lower edge of the internal scraper distally spaced away from and above the major axis of rotation of the rolling basket. The upper edge of the internal scraper is positioned above the lower edge.

DISC LEVELING SYSTEM

A disc conditioner to work soil in a forward direction including a main support structure, a secondary support structure that protrudes from the main support structure in the forward direction, a main disc assembly affixed to the main support structure, and a secondary disc assembly that is affixed to the secondary support structure and protrudes from the main disc assembly in the forward direction. The secondary disc assembly generates an oscillating soil and residue flow along a central axis of the disc conditioner that levels the soil.

DUAL BASKET ATTACHMENT

An implement has an implement frame, a wheel for supporting the implement frame on soil in a direction of travel, a first basket coupled to the implement frame, and a second basket coupled to the implement frame. The first basket works the soil such that any convolutions in the soil are reoriented to be substantially perpendicular to the direction of travel of the implement. The second basket is positioned rearward of the first basket, and works the soil such that the convolutions in the soil that are substantially perpendicular to the direction of travel of the implement are flattened.

An agricultural implement includes a basket assembly configured to roll relative to a surface of a field as the agricultural implement travels across the field. The basket assembly, in turn, includes a plurality of bars spaced circumferentially about an outer perimeter of the basket assembly. Furthermore, the agricultural implement includes an ultrasonic sensor configured to emit ultrasonic signals directed at the basket assembly and receive return signals based on reflections of the ultrasonic signals off of the basket assembly. Additionally, the agricultural implement includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the ultrasonic sensor. In this respect, the computing system is configured to determine when the basket assembly is plugged based on at least one of the return signals being received by the ultrasonic sensor or a lack of return signals being received by the ultrasonic sensor for an agricultural implement.
