CLAMPING TOOL
A clamping tool (1) is disclosed suitable for securing underwater protective shields, jackets and covers. A system is also described comprising the clamping tool and a protective shield, jacket or cover. The clamping tool (1) comprises a clamp (2), a jaw attachment (12) and a plurality of locking bolts (46). The clamp (2) comprises a first claw (20), a second claw (22), and a pivot (3). The jaw attachment (12) comprises a first tube (40) connected to the first claw (20) and a second tube (42) connected to the second claw (22). The first tube (40) and the second tube (42) comprise a plurality of holes (44) for receiving the plurality of locking bolts (46) and the pivot (3) is configured to transform a rotational torque applied by a user into a clamping pressure of the jaw attachment (12).
Hinge Clamp For A Bicycle Frame And Other Structures
A hinge clamp adapted to clamp a hinge assembly with an eyelet to position and protect a retraction spring, a counter-bore in the V-plate to accommodate the spring, and a finger loop to position the user's finger during operation. In some aspects the clamp may have a removable bolt-tightening handle, the release of which enables the handle to be removed to avoid damage and to prevent theft. The handle may be removable over the head of the bolt in a first rotary configuration, and be constrained under the head of the bolt in a second rotary configuration. A hinge clamp with a retained clamp plate that retains the position of the clamp plate near the handle when the hinge clamp is loosened.
Repeatable Clamping Device
A clamping device is described which enables repeatable positioning of top-tooling relative to a base in all six degrees of freedom. The device utilizes a swiveling pullstud and ramp interaction to achieve preloading in the z-direction while minimizing undesirable lateral loads. The device ensures consistent top-tooling relocation for precision positioning applications such as machining and inspection.
Device and method for hoop reinforcing of restrictors in standby systems of a journal bearing
The invention concerns a device (1) for hoop reinforcing of restrictors inside at least two hydraulic supply standby systems of a journal bearing. Said device is remarkable in that it comprises: a frame (2) for receiving said hearing, a syringe (3) for introducing said restrictors and a torque pick-off spindle (4), and in that said frame (2) comprises: a cradle (21), a guide plate (23) pierced with two guide openings (231), inclined at the same angle as those of said backup systems of the bearing, so as to be located in the extension of same when the bearing is in the frame, said guide openings (231) being shaped to receive said syringe (3) or said torque pick-off spindle (4).
Clamping apparatus and method
Disclosed herein is a clamping apparatus that includes an upper jaw structure having a hinge end and a clamp end, a lower jaw structure having a hinge end and a clamp end, and a hinge located at the hinge ends of the upper and lower jaw structures, the hinge providing for rotation of upper jaw structure with respect to the lower jaw structure. The clamping apparatus includes an elongated element threadably attached to the first and second upper jaw structures between the hinge end and the clamp end of each of the first and second upper jaw structures, wherein rotation of the elongated element in a first direction causes the clamp end of the upper jaw structure to move closer to the clamp end of the lower jaw structure. The elongated element includes an end configured to receive a tool configured to facilitate the rotation of the elongated element.
Grounding Clamps and Torque-Controlled Fasteners
Various implementations of grounding clamps and torque-controlled fasteners are disclosed. The grounding clamps may be used to attach grounding conductors to various structures, such as pipes, conduit, grounding rods etc. The torque-controlled fasteners may use various techniques to control the amount of torque applied to the fasteners used with the grounding clamps described herein.
Modular tubing notcher system
A machining assembly which allows for precise and repeatable machining operationsprimarily tube notchingto be carried out by an operator in various situations, and is specifically designed for hollow-form parting without use of a mandrel in prototyping and small-scale production. This system allows operators to cut copes in both typical and atypical materials, and offers the ability to produce double end-coped workpieces quickly. Additionally, the preferred embodiment can be equipped for use as a light-duty milling machine which incorporates portability with the benefits of traditional milling centers.
DIAPHRAGM COUPLING TOOLS
A tool for installation and removal of flexible couplings includes a first plate having a hinge member rigidly extending from the first plate and a shaft engaging feature defined in the first plate opposite the hinge member thereof. A second plate has a hinge member rigidly extending from the second plate and a shaft engaging feature defined in the second plate opposite the hinge member thereof. The hinge members of first and second plates are hinged together for rotation of the first and second plates about a hinge axis to actuate the shaft engaging features toward and away from one another.
Clamping apparatus
A lifting and support device comprises a first yoke having a first support arm that defining a first wedge slot above the first support arm and a second yoke pivotally coupled to the first yoke having a second support arm inwardly extending toward and laterally spaced from the first support arm and defining a second wedge slot above the second support arm. The first and second wedge slots are substantially aligned when the first and second yokes are in a closed position. A wedge is configured for insertion within the first and second wedge slots when the first and second wedge slots are substantially aligned to hold a structure between the wedge and the first and second support arms of the first and second yokes in order to support a structure relative to the lifting and support device.
