A tool has a body with an axially extending cavity containing partly cylindrical receptacles. Each receptacle has an opening facing inward toward the axis. A partly cylindrical cam portion of a jaw fits within each of the receptacles. Each jaw has a workpiece engaging portion protruding from the body. Each of the cam portions has a pair of flat flanks that protrude inward from the opening of one of the receptacles. The flat flanks intersect each other at an inner corner. Each flank abuts one of the flanks of another of the cam members. Each of the engaging portions has an outer surface configured to engage a hole within the workpiece. An increment of rotation of the body relative to the jaws causes the inner corners of the flanks to move outward from the axis and the outer surfaces of the engaging portions to move from a contracted position to an expanded position.

A biasing member extends through a top end of the sleeve and engages each of the sections. The biasing member is actuated to bias the sleeve downward to close together the sections and engaged the valve actuator. An engagement head is attached to the upper end of the biasing member and engages a tool to rotate the collet.

Close to the pivot of the releasing lever are two outstanding members disposed respectively opposite sides thereof. Gripping the locking lever towards the handle till being stopped by the two outstanding members hitting said handle will toggle continuous gripping/clamping action on a workpiece. Gripping the releasing lever towards the handle will render the two outstanding members to serve as fulcrums, providing the former with leverage to force the toggle linkage back to its relaxing condition to release the workpiece. The releasing action requires only one hand.

A jaw for each of the cam surfaces has a curved outer side in contact with one of the cam surfaces and a drive surface on an inner side for engaging one of the drive flanks of the nut. A foot extends inward from a lower end of each of the jaws into the slot to retain the jaws within the central cavity. Rotating the tool body relative to the jaws moves the drive surfaces of the jaws from a retracted position to a gripping position in engagement with the drive flanks of the nut.
