Ratchet wrench with fine socket-indexing machanism
A method for operating a ratchet wrench having a tangential belt drive mechanism and a ratchet gear therein, including the steps of momentary pulling on the driven end of the belt for rotating the ratchet gear during a forward cycle; continually applying a first resilient tension force on the return end of the belt; continually applying a resilient compression force on the driven end of the belt of a same magnitude as the first resilient tension force toward the return end of the belt, and relaxing the step of pulling and allowing the belt to return to an initial position of the belt before the step of pulling. In another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a tangential drive mechanism comprising a first and second springs, one on each side of the ratchet gear and each acting on the belt toward a return end of the belt.
NOTCHED LINE RUNNER SOCKET
A socket assembly includes a socket head, an input member, and a plurality of transfer members. The socket head is disposed about an axis and defines an aperture extending axially through the socket head and through a side of the socket head. The socket head includes external teeth. The input member is coaxial with the socket head. Each transfer member includes a first end drivingly coupled to the input member and a second end configured to engage the external teeth.
Positive stop ratchet mechanism
Examples of the present disclosure relate to ratchets and include ratchets having a positive stop ratchet mechanism which controls the movement of a pawl and/or pusher with various geometric configurations and using various materials.
Speed increasing bidirectional mechanical converter
A speed increasing bidirectional mechanical converter, including a main shaft and a speed increasing planet gear unit is disclosed. The speed increasing planet gear unit includes a first ring gear, a planet gear, a sun gear and a planet carrier, wherein the planet gear is mounted on the planet carrier. The planet gear is arranged between the first ring gear and the sun gear, and rotates in an opposite direction against the sun gear. The speed increasing bidirectional mechanical converter further includes a reversing means, via which the first ring gear and the sun gear drive the main shaft. When in use, the planet carrier is kept still, and the main shaft rotates in the preset direction. The speed increasing bidirectional mechanical converter realizes the direction reverse by using the speed increasing planet gear unit, which simplifies the structure, facilitates the manufacture and decreases the space it occupies and its weight. A screwdriver and a wrench having the speed increasing bidirectional mechanical converter are provided.
ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY TO BE CONNECTED WITH A HAND TOOL
An attachment assembly for being connected with a hand tool includes an active unit, a passive unit and a switching shaft. The active unit includes a front wheel, a middle wheel and a rear wheel are simultaneously rotatably connected in sequence. The passive unit includes a first wheel and a second wheel are simultaneously rotatably connected. The switching shaft pivotably connects the active unit and the passive unit, and switches the active unit and the passive unit being rotatable or not.
Method and apparatus for applying torque
One example of the present disclosure relates to a method of applying torque to an object, which threadably engages a part. The torque is applied with a wrench, comprising a first handle, a second handle, a planetary gear mechanism, a drive that comprises an internal gear and an external gear, and a first pawl, movably coupled to the first handle and biased to contact the external gear of the drive. When the drive is coupled to the object, the method comprises transmitting an input torque to the drive by rotating at least one of the first handle and the second handle relative to the part. The first pawl is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the first handle may or may not operatively engage the external gear of the drive.
Adjustable gripping tool
An adjustable gripping tool including an adjustable opening to grip and impart work or a rotational force on work pieces (e.g., nuts and bolts) of various sizes is provided. The gripping tool of the present disclosure includes a ratcheting configuration and an adjusting configuration and can change between each configuration. While in the adjusting configuration, an adjusting bolt may be rotated to cause a plurality of jaws or gripping members to converge toward each other or diverge away from each other to adjust the diameter of the opening of the gripping tool. In this way, the plurality of jaws may converge onto work pieces of various sizes to grip the work pieces securely in the opening. The gripping tool may then be changed to the ratcheting configuration. In the ratcheting configuration, a handle of the gripping tool may be gripped and rotated to impart work on the work piece.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING TORQUE
A system and apparatus for applying torque includes a power source that rotates an eccentric, which oscillates a torque head to cyclically drive a pawl into a ratchet wheel to provide torque to a component where the applied torque is greater than the received torque. The applied torque is offset from and parallel to the received torque. The torque is hydraulically powered and can be adjusted to run in both directions.
Ratchet wrench
A ratchet wrench comprising a housing, at least one gear supported within the housing, one of the at least one gear comprising a drive hole, a stationary handle extending from the housing, a dynamic handle hingedly extending from the housing such that, the dynamic handle is rotatable between at least one handle open position and a handle closed position, and at least one pawl, each of the at least one pawl adapted to slide between a pawl open position and a pawl closed position, one of the at least one pawl adapted to be in engagement with one of the at least one gear at a time. The dynamic handle disposed in operative communication with the at least one pawl such that, rotating the dynamic handle towards the handle closed position causes the at least one gear rotate in one direction and releasing the dynamic handle causes pawl to return to the pawl open position without causing the at least one gear to rotate in the opposite direction.
Ratchet screwdriver
A ratchet screwdriver includes a mounting seat, a control member, a driving shaft, two pawls and two springs. The mounting seat has a receiving space, a first slot and a second slot. A passage is defined through the mounting seat. The first and second slots have a hole respectively. The driving shaft has a ratchet portion located in the receiving space. Each pawl is biased by one spring so as to be engaged with the ratchet portion. The control member is rotatably mounted to the mounting seat and the driving shaft. The control member has two control plates to pivot the pawls to disengage from the ratchet portion of the driving shaft.
