Bearing closure device and method for operating the same
A bearing closure device has a externally threaded ring that can be slid onto a roll journal. One stop close to the roll barrel and one stop away from the roll barrel are provided on the roll journal in order to limit the axial movement of the threaded ring. A ring nut with an internal thread is screwed onto the external thread of the threaded ring. To facilitate safe screwing on and unscrewing of the ring nut and to keep screws pressure-free during the operation of the bearing a pressure ring is mounted between the bearing and the threaded ring in an axially displaceable manner. In addition, a plurality of screws can be screwed into axial threaded bores in the threaded ring in order to press against the pressure ring in the axial direction. Finally, the ring nut can be screwed or adjusted against the pressure ring.
Multi-head rack and pinion driven pulley puller
A multi-head, rack and pinion driven pulley puller including a rack and pinion drive assembly. The drive assembly includes a body member, a rack shaft, and a pinion gear, enclosed in the body member in one embodiment. The drive assembly further has a head that is adapted to receive a variety of puller assemblies, including a pivoting jaw puller assembly and a forked plate puller assembly.
Universal rotating scroll puller
The Universal Rotating Scroll Puller is a new and improved tool for application with automotive, commercial, marine, and industrial remanufacturing. This puller has several advantages. It is fast and easy to use, has good gripping force, is self-centering, adjustable to many different sizes, and can pull a wide variety of mounted objects. Some applications include bearings, V-groove and serpentine pulleys, and alternator frames of various shapes, sizes and locations. Varieties of finger sets are available for multiple applications and extractions. The number of fingers sets can vary from as few as two fingers to as many as six, but most commonly, this puller uses six fingers that can move radially inward or outward by means of a flat scroll plate that is turned about a central axis in order to maneuver the self-centering fingers.
NON-DESTRUCTIVE COLD EXTRACTIONS OF PRESS FIT BUSHINGS
An assembly for removing a bushing is provided including a mandrel having a size and shape similar to the bushing and a receiver having a hollow interior cavity. A fastener extends through an opening formed in both the mandrel and the receiver. A socket attachment has a first opening configured to removably couple to a first end of the fastener and a second opening configured to removably couple to a torque delivery tool. A biasing mechanism arranged adjacent a second end of the fastener is configured to generate a biasing force to drive the mandrel against a bushing in response to a coupling of the socket attachment and the fastener.
Bearing Race Installer/Remover
A puller/installer comprises a draw plate, a split ring, a cap plate, and at least one draw member. The draw plate defines a draw plate cam surface. The split ring defines at least one split plate cam surface and is arranged such that the at least one split plate cam surface is in contact with the draw plate cam surface. The at least one draw member is arranged to draw the cap plate and the draw plate towards each other such that the draw plate cam surface engages the at least one split plate cam surface to deform the split ring to alter an effective diameter of the bearing race puller/installer.
Removal device for belt pulley
A removal device for a belt pulley contains: a guiding rod, two clamping members, and two paws. The guiding rod includes a screwing hole defined on a central position thereof to screw with a push rod. The two clamping members slide along the guiding rod, and each clamping member includes a guide orifice for inserting the guiding rod, a first guide rail, and a first engaging portion, wherein a first direction of the first guide rail is perpendicular to a second direction of the screwing hole. Each paw includes a second guide rail for matching with the first guide rail, such that each of the two paws is connected with or removed from each of the two clamping members, wherein the second guide rail has a second engaging portion for cooperating with the first engaging portion.
PISTON POSITION INSTALLATION DEVICE OF BRAKE CYLINDER
A piston position installation device of a brake cylinder is provided, including: a main rod, having a first driving portion and a first threaded section along an axial direction and toward the first driving portion, the main rod having an interior hole with a second threaded section, screwing directions of the first and second threaded section being counter to each other; an abutting rod, having a second driving portion, a restricting portion and an exterior threaded portion screwed with the second threaded section, rotatably arranged within the interior hole; a force exerting member, having first and second force exerting portions, the first and second force exerting portions being arranged on the first driving portion and the second driving portion, respectively; a socket, screwed with a first threaded section of the main rod; a blocking board, laterally outwardly protrusive from the socket.
Apparatuses and methods for removing a component
An apparatus is provided for removing a component from a device, where the component includes a cylindrical portion and a shoulder adjacent the cylindrical portion. The apparatus includes a base, a puller and a shaft. The base includes a first mount, a second mount and a bridge extending between and connected to the first mount and the second mount. The first mount and the second mount are each configured to engage with the device. The puller includes a forked flange configured to abut against the shoulder of the component when the cylindrical portion of the component is within a channel of the forked flange. The shaft includes a threaded portion mated with a threaded aperture in the bridge. A distal end portion of the shaft is rotatably connected to the puller.
Universal joint dismantling tool
A universal joint (U-joint) dismantling tool includes an actuator coupled to a yoke. The yoke has two substantially parallel legs, spaced to form a pull channel therebetween. Each yoke leg terminates in a free end defining a foot surface. The actuator is adapted to substantially linearly draw a puller at least partially along a length of the yoke pull channel, thereby increasing a distance between a pull surface and the yoke foot surfaces.
Injector sleeve removal tool
A tool for removing an injector sleeve from the cylinder head of a diesel engine between the rocker arms while the head remains mounted to the engine block within the vehicle. The devices includes a tap having a longitudinal body and a threaded cutting head at one end. A drive member comprises a bolt having a head at one distal end. An extraction nut is threaded onto the threaded shaft of the drive member followed by a bearing surface member such as a spacer. A hollow cylinder or support sleeve having an internal diameter greater than the injector sleeve to be removed and an external diameter less than the diameter of the sleeve bore includes a shoulder member.
