PRESS TOOL ASSEMBLIES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR INSERTING BUSHING ASSEMBLIES
A press tool system for pressing a bushing assembly into a bushing opening defined by a structural member comprising a tool assembly and an actuator system. The press tool system comprises a tool assembly and an actuator system. The tool assembly comprises a brace assembly, a drive member, and a retaining sleeve. The actuator system comprises an actuator housing assembly and a piston member. The brace assembly is arranged to brace the actuator housing assembly relative to the structural member. The drive member is arranged between the piston member and the bushing assembly. The retaining sleeve is arranged at least partly around the bushing assembly. The actuator system displaces the piston member relative to the actuator housing assembly to force the bushing assembly at least partly through the retaining sleeve and into the bushing opening in a desired position relative to the structural member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRELOADING A BEARING
A system for providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes an attaching member releasably connectable to the shaft and a press mechanism in fluid communication with a source of fluid and configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. The press mechanism includes a switch having a base and a piston in communication with the fluid such that an increase in a pressure of the fluid results in the piston extending upwardly from the base and a decrease in the pressure of the fluid results in the piston retracting toward the base. The switch includes a lower proximity sensor and a higher proximity sensor. The piston is configured to extend upwardly from the base past the lower proximity sensor and to trip the higher proximity sensor. The switch is configured to control the increase in the pressure in response to the piston tripping the higher proximity sensor.

Plate benders for bone plates
A bone plate includes first and second longitudinal sides, a plurality of through holes longitudinally displaced in the bone plate between the first and second longitudinal sides, and a plurality of tubular guide elements coupled relative to the plurality of through holes. Plate bending tools are provided. Each includes a handle having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis, and an end effector coupled to the first end of the handle. The end effector includes a retaining arm that is provided with a bore having a bore axis extending transverse relative to the longitudinal axis and a fulcrum. The bore is sized to received a portion of a tubular guide element coupled to the bone plate such that the retaining arm can stably engage the tubular guide element. The fulcrum is adapted to bear against one of longitudinal sides of the bone plate.
SINGLE ACTING HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
A single acting hydraulic cylinder comprises a cylinder housing and a piston rod arranged within the cylinder housing, where the piston rod can be actuated in response to a hydraulic pressure acting on said piston rod. The piston rod comprises an axially extending through hole and a pulling portion having an internally threaded section partly extending into the axially extending through hole in order to engage a threaded portion of a pulling rod. When in the pulling mode the single acting hydraulic cylinder further comprises the pulling rod having the threaded portion, and when in the pressing mode the single acting hydraulic cylinder further comprises a pressing rod having a threaded portion. Also, when in the pressing mode, the piston rod further comprises a pressing portion having an internally threaded section partly extending into the axially extending through hole, in order to engage the threaded portion of the pressing rod.
Hydraulic tools
A hydraulic tool for working on a workpiece. A housing is configured for holding. A motor is positioned in the housing. A battery is supported by the housing and operable to supply power to the motor. A drive mechanism is supported by the housing and includes a cylinder, a piston moveably supported in the cylinder, and a pump powered by the motor and operable to supply hydraulic fluid to the cylinder to move the piston relative to the cylinder. A jaw member is supported by the housing and configured to engage with the workpiece. A spindle is operatively coupled to the drive mechanism such that operating the drive mechanism moves the spindle relative to the jaw member to work on the workpiece.
