DRIVING TOOL
20190099872 · 2019-04-04 · ·

A driving tool drives a fastener supplied to a nose using a striking mechanism. The driving tool includes a trigger, a contact arm, a contact lever and a regulator. The trigger receives a manipulation which operates the striking mechanism. The contact arm reciprocates and receives another manipulation which operates the striking mechanism. The contact lever operates according to operations of the trigger and the contact arm and switches operating states of the striking mechanism. The regulator regulates a movement of the contact lever in a range from an operable position where the striking mechanism is operable by the contact lever to an operation standby position where the contact lever is operable by the contact arm, according to a reciprocating movement of the contact arm, and switches operating states of the contact lever according to the contact arm.

DRIVING TOOL

A driving tool capable of avoiding blank shot after a predetermined time has elapsed when performing a bump firing and capable of smoothly performing the bump firing is provided. The driving tool includes: an accumulator chamber which accumulates compressed air, a nose section provided on a housing; a cylinder; a trigger, and a push lever provided in the nose section, and when the trigger and the push lever are operated, the compressed air is supplied into the cylinder. The driving tool further includes: a delay valve which prevents the compressed air from being supplied into the cylinder when the push lever is not operated within a predetermined time after the trigger is operated: and a switching valve which supplies the compressed air of the accumulator chamber to the delay valve when the trigger is operated, and discharges the compressed air supplied to the delay valve to an outside of the housing when the push lever is operated within the predetermined time.

Electric nail gun
12070842 · 2024-08-27 · ·

An electric nail gun includes a cylinder unit, a valve, a pushed rod, a safety assembly and an adjusting assembly. The cylinder unit defines a cylinder space and a gas space. The valve is disposed between the cylinder space and the gas space, and is movable among a closed position, in which the valve closes the cylinder space, and a plurality of open positions. The safety assembly has a first end that is adapted to be pressed and moved by an object, and a second end. When the first end is not pressed against the object, a distance between the second end and the pushed constituent is defined as a first actuating distance. When the first end is moved by the object, the pushed rod is urged to move by the second end such that the valve moves from the closed position to one of the open positions.

NAIL GUN AND METHODS FOR SEQUENTIALLY DRIVING NAILS INTO A SUBSTRATE OR A STRUCTURE

A nail gun for repeatedly driving nails into a substrate includes a drive assembly having a longitudinal axis, a feed head assembly attached to the drive assembly and configured to provide the nails to an output segment, a hammer configured to reciprocate along the longitudinal axis of the drive assembly to drive the nails into the substrate, and a reservoir assembly configured to provide compressed air to the drive assembly to reciprocate the hammer and drive the nail into the substrate. A method drives nails into a substrate with the nail gun.

DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING THEM TO ASSEMBLE TWO OR MORE WORKPIECES TO EACH OTHER

Certain embodiments described herein are directed to devices which can be used to safely secure two or more workpieces to each other, e.g., to secure a cabinet face frame to a cabinet frame. In some examples, the device comprises a base configured to engage a first surface of the first workpiece and to receive an attachment device. The base can also be configured to engage a first surface of a second workpiece. The device may also comprise piston means configured to engage the second workpiece at a second surface. The device may comprise one or more plungers that can be used to actuate the attachment device to permit fastening of the workpieces once properly arranged. Methods of using the device are also described.

Pneumatic tool

A pneumatic tool includes a drive mechanism configured to drive by an air pressure of compressed air, a head valve having a first chamber configured to reserve compressed air that is supplied from an air source, and configured to drive the drive mechanism, according to a state of the compressed air in the first chamber, a trigger valve configured to actuate the head valve by exhausting the compressed air in the first chamber, and a control valve configured to disable actuation of the trigger valve.

POWERED FASTENER DRIVER

A powered fastener driver including a piston movable within the inner cylinder from a top-dead-center (TDC) position to a driven or bottom-dead-center (BDC) position. The piston has a diameter of less than 45 mm, and a stroke length of the piston between the TDC position and the BDC position measuring greater than 60 mm and less than 90 mm.

Actuation system
09862084 · 2018-01-09 · ·

A device includes an actuation system with a dose chamber including an inlet for high pressure fluid. A working chamber extends away from the dose chamber. An annular wall separates a portion of the working chamber from the dose chamber such that the dose chamber encompasses the portion of the working chamber. In use an item to be driven along the working chamber is at least partially within the surrounded portion of the working chamber with the item at one end of its travel in the working chamber. A valve mechanism selectively allows high pressure fluid from the dose chamber to flow into the piston chamber.

Pneumatic microfastener driving tool

A pneumatic fastener driving tool that forces pressurized gas from a gas supply source into a chamber above a piston enclosed in a working cylinder. During an operational cycle, the pressurized gas is released, forcing the piston to fire. The firing valve seals the pressurized gas utilizing two rolling diaphragm seals, thereby providing less breakdown of hardware and removing the need for lubricant within the firing valve. These diaphragm seals exhibit a smaller diameter than prior diaphragms used in similar pneumatic fastener driving tools.

FASTENER-DRIVING TOOL WITH AN ELECTRIC POWER GENERATOR
20170239800 · 2017-08-24 ·

A fastener-driving tool including a housing having an air connector, at least one of a power storage device and an electrical component associated with the housing and an electric motor assembly associated with the housing. The electric motor assembly includes a fan where air is supplied to the housing through the air connector and moves through the housing and contacts the fan to cause the fan to rotate, rotation of the fan causing the electric motor to generate electricity that is directed to the at least one power storage device and the electrical component.
