FOLDING KNIFE WITH LOCKING LINKAGE ASSEMBLY
A folding knife can include a handle comprising a side wall having a side surface, a protrusion extending laterally from the side surface of the side wall, a blade, and a linkage assembly pivotably coupling the handle to the blade. The protrusion can have an edge extending laterally from the side surface of the side wall to the side surface of the protrusion. The edge can include a first surface portion and a second surface portion configured as a locking surface. The second surface portion can extend downwardly at an angle relative to the first surface portion. The blade can have a tang including a locking edge, and can be translatable relative to the handle between a storage position and a use position. When the blade is in the use position, the locking surface engages the locking edge to resist movement of the blade in a first direction.
Folding knife with bidirectional actuator
A bolster-actuated folding knife may have a folding knife blade whose opening and closing is controlled by an actuator on the knife's handle. This bolster-actuator may rotate in either of two rotational directions about the same pivot as the knife blade. When a user rotates the bolster-actuator in one direction, the bolster's pin may impinge via direct contact with the knife blade forcing the knife blade fully open. When a rotates the bolster-actuator in the opposite direction bolster-actuator rotation and thus bolster pin deflection may cause the knife's locking tab to disengage from a cutout in the knife blade, unlocking the knife blade from its fully locked-open position and urging the knife blade to close. Thus, the bolster-actuated folding knife may provide a convenient means to open and close a locking, folding knife with only one hand, and without substantial interference with the knife's aesthetic appeal.
Tool with Replaceable Component
A tool having a replaceable component is disclose. In one aspect, the tool has a handle and an armature rotatably coupled to a first end of the handle. The armature is configured to be disposed at least partially within a cavity of the handle in a first position and extended outside of the handle in a second position. In another aspect, the tool is removably coupled to a distal end of the handle extending generally in the same longitudinal direction as the handle. A tool is removably coupled to the handle in an improved manner that optimizes safety and efficiency.
Folding knife with locking mechanism
Folding knife embodiments are disclosed herein comprising a blade operable to pivot relative to a handle, between an open position and a closed position, about a pivot axis extending through a tang portion of the blade having at least one locking recess. The knife can have a locking mechanism comprising a rod that extends along the pivot axis through the tang portion and a locking member coupled to the rod which engages the at least one locking recess of the tang portion when the blade is in at least one of the open position or the closed position. The knife can further comprise a push button coupled to the rod, wherein depression of the push button is configured to eject the locking member from the locking recess in the blade, thereby unlocking the blade.
Folding knife
A folding knife includes a handle, a first liner inside the handle, and a second liner inside the handle and opposed to the first liner. A blade has a tang and a cutting edge, and the tang of the blade pivotally connects the blade between the first and second liners. The blade has a retracted position in which the cutting edge is inside the handle and a deployed position in which the cutting edge is outside the handle. An actuator is at least partially between the first and second liners, and a spring is between the first and second liners and in compression against the actuator so that the spring biases the actuator toward the tang of the blade.
Knife allowing rapid and safe replacement and securement of blade, and connecting base thereof
A knife allowing rapid and safe replacement and securement of a blade which can be fixed to a front end of a connecting base of the knife. The connecting base has a rear end that can be connected to a handle, and includes an upper base body, a lower base body, a lock-release member, and a spacer plate that can be located between the upper and lower base bodies and form an engaged-connection groove along with the base bodies therebetween. The engaged-connection groove matches, and enables the insertion therein and engagement therewith, a portion of the blade at or adjacent to the rear end thereof. The lock-release member can be arranged on the connecting base for a user to set the blade into a locked state, in which the blade is securely positioned and cannot be detached, or an unlocked state, in which the blade can be detached.
HAND TOOL ASSEMBLY HAVING A RETRACTABLE ATTACHMENT CLIP AND IMPLEMENT LOCK AND METHOD OF USE
A hand tool assembly having a foldable implement, such as a blade, and a retractable attachment clip having an actuator is disclosed. A retracting assembly may be coupled to the attachment clip; the hand tool assembly may include a rotatable cam assembly comprising a rotatable cam coupled to a rotatable cam arm having a lifter; the rotatable cam may be coupled to the implement; the rotatable cam may have an off-center rotational axis; when a user rotates the implement, the rotatable cam may also be rotated, causing the position of the lifter to be moved a distance, thereby causing movement of the actuator of the attachment clip thereby actuating movement of the extendable, retractable attachment clip; the foldable hand tool may include a locking assembly having a spine having lug element and a first tooth configured to detachably mate with a first tooth-receiving slot of the implement.
Blade mounting bracket and blade replaceable knife
A blade mounting bracket includes a blade mounting part and a handle connecting part. A blade mounted on the blade mounting bracket defines a strip-shaped hole. The strip-shaped hole includes a mounting section and a tightening section. A width of the mounting section is greater than a width of the tightening section. The blade mounting part includes a base and a fixing piece connected with the base. An upper surface of the fixing piece is matched with the mounting section. An upper portion of the fixing piece extends downwards to connect with the base. Grooves are formed between the upper surface of the fixing piece and the base. The fixing piece includes a fixing block matched with the mounting section. The grooves and the fixing block fix the blade in a plane in which the blade is located.
Folding Knife Safety Mechanism
A folding knife with a locking mechanism is provided. The folding knife includes a locking spring that interfaces with a recess in the blade to bias the blade from being pivoted out of the handle. A button interfaces with the locking spring to actuate the locking spring interfacing with the blade.
