Folding knife with dual operational modes
A folding knife has mechanisms for facilitating dual operational modes for opening the blade. In a first modality, the knife is opened and closed manually. In a second modality, the knife is fully automatic. When the blade is in the closed position the user may use either mode, manual or automatic, without any switching mechanism. A lock securely locks the blade in the open position when either opening modality is being used. To open the blade manually, the user rotates the blade from the closed to the open positionthe lock automatically locks the blade open when the blade is fully open. To open the blade automatically, the lock mechanism functions as the trigger mechanism; the user slides the lock mechanism to actuate the automatic open mechanism. When the blade is in the fully open position the lock secures the blade open. A torsion spring around the pivot shaft that connects the blade to the handle and which is retained in a bushing drives the blade open in the automatic mode. The knife includes a dry fire safety mechanism that prevents operation of the automatic opening mechanisms when the blade is in the open position or in any position intermediate between open and closed when the manual modality is used.
Folding knife with safety device
Disclosed is a folding knife with safety device, which includes a main knife, a revolving shaft, a first liner plate, a first rivet, a switch lock sheet, a first handle part, a second handle part, a second liner plate and a spacer sleeve. The first liner plate is provided with a resilient lock sheet, an elongated slot, a stopper portion, a first rivet, a second rivet and a third rivet; the switch lock sheet is provided with a first rivet slot, a skidproof rack, a second rivet slot, a labor-saving slot, a locking contact, and a buckle; and the first handle part is provided with an axle hole, a holding slot, a holding hole and a screw hole. The present invention has advantages of simple structure, easy of use and stable performance.
Securing structure of folding knife
A securing structure of a folding knife includes a blade and a handle. The blade is pivotally connected to the handle and has a pivotal connection end provided with a first engaging groove and a second engaging groove. The handle has two opposite sides each provided with a first guide hole. A stop block is provided in the handle and has a stop surface for abutting against an abutting surface of the blade. The stop block also has an inclined guide surface. The inclined guide surface is adjacent to the first guide holes and is inclined in a direction from the upper handle edges toward the front handle ends. A pin extends through the two first guide holes and can be engaged in either one of the first and the second engaging grooves and thereby clamped between a wall portion of the engaging groove and the inclined guide surface.
FOLDING KNIFE WITH DIFFERENT UNLOCKING MODES
The present invention relates to a folding knife with different unlocking modes, comprising a handle and a blade. The handle has a storage slot with a locking buckle installed therein, while the blade has a first locking groove and a second locking groove. The locking buckle includes a slider, a resetting component, and a first limiting column. The first limiting column is installed in the storage slot, the slider has a sliding groove, and the resetting component is located inside the sliding groove. The slider has a locking part with a protrusion extending from it, and a pull rod extending to the outside is also provided on the slider.
KNIFE WITH PUSH BUTTON ASSISTED-OPEN MECHANISM
A folding utility with a push button assisted-open mechanism is disclosed. The folding utility tool comprising a handle comprising at least two handle sides spaced apart and defining a tool cavity therebetween; a tool arm pivotally connected to the handle, wherein the tool arm comprises a drive pin connected to and extending out from a side of the tool arm; a toggle component pivotally connected to at least one of the at least two handle sides, wherein the toggle component comprises a retaining notch; and a spring comprising an arcuate segment along a longitudinal axis of the spring, wherein the spring is coupled to at least one of the at least two handle sides at one end and the toggle component at another end, wherein the drive pin is positioned within the retaining notch when at least part of the tool arm is folded into the tool cavity.
Folding knife
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a locking folding knife having a handle lock and a safety switch arranged around and rotatable around a pivot axis of the knife. In an engaged position the switch overlaps at least a portion of the handle lock and prevents it from moving into an unlocked position. A spring, such as a wire form spring, can be arranged within a pocket of the switch, and when the switch is moved between engaged and disengaged positions the spring can be compressed generating a rotational bias on the switch urging the switch toward either the engaged or disengaged position.
BLADE LOCK MECHANISM
An apparatus relating to opening/closing a knife includes an actuator including a pivot. The apparatus includes a lock frame including a first end and a second end. The first end includes a lock protruding portion and an extension portion. The second end includes a tapered portion, and the actuator is rotatably mounted via the pivot to the extension portion. The apparatus for opening/closing a knife also includes a tension member. The apparatus for opening/closing a knife also includes a lock mount portion. The lock protruding portion includes a guide post to secure the lock frame to the lock mount portion. The apparatus for opening/closing a knife also includes a bolt, and the tension member is captive between the actuator, the lock frame, and the bolt.
Lockable tool with sliding scale release
A lockable tool with a sliding scale release is formed with a frame and a tool coupled to the frame with a locking mechanism to lock the tool into an extended or retracted configuration. A release mechanism is attached to a scale on the side of the frame. The scale is coupled to the frame. The tool is constructed such that sliding the scale along a longitudinal axis of the frame automatically unlocks the tool from the extended or retracted configurations. The tool can open and/or close automatically. The tool, such as a knife, can swing open or extend out a front opening in the frame.
SPRING-ASSISTED UTILITY KNIFE
A utility knife includes a folding handle in which a neck folds into a handle base. A neck lock locks the neck in its closed or open position relative to the handle base. The neck is spring-biased toward its open position to assist in one-handed opening of the handle. A utility blade and blade holder are slidably carried by neck for manual movement between retracted/protected and extended/exposed positions. The neck cannot be folded into or locked in the closed position if the blade is exposed.
