ELECTRIC BEARD TRIMMER
The present invention relates to cutting body hair such as beard stubble. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cutter system for an electric shaver and/or trimmer, with a pair of cooperating cutting elements with at least one row of comb-like cutting teeth. The cutting elements are movably supported relative to each other by a support structure. At least one of the cutting elements, when viewed in cross section, has a C-shape including a pair of dog-eared holding flanges attached to the support structure and a slightly dome shaped or flat center section. The row of comb-like cutting teeth are formed in a transitional section between the dog-eared holding flanges and the center section. The dog-eared holding flange at the transitional section may be provided with a step-like concave depression forming thinned-out tooth tips.
ELECTRIC BEARD TRIMMER
A cutter system for an electric shaver and/or trimmer, having a pair of cooperating cutting elements with two rows of comb-like cutting teeth at opposite edges thereof and at least one field of cutting perforations between the rows of comb-like cutting teeth. The cutting elements are movably supported relative to each other by a support structure with an inner one of the cutting elements being sandwiched between an outer one the cutting element and the support structure. The support structure includes a pair of outer frame portions and a pair of inner frame portions supporting the inner cutting element. The inner frame portions form rigid support ribs extending from a base portion of the support structure at a steeper angle than the outer frame portions and forming rigid support edges supporting the inner cutting element along the outer edge of the field of cutting perforations.
Blade set for a hair cutting appliance arranged to be moved through hair in a moving direction to cut hair
A blade set for a hair cutting appliance is described. The blade set (26) is arranged to be moved through hair in a moving direction to cut hair, and includes a stationary blade including a support insert and a metal component. The metal component and the support insert are force-fitted to one another. The metal component is at least sectionally deformed to define at least one toothed leading edge having double-walled stationary blade teeth. The metal component forms a first wall that is arranged to serve as a skin-facing wall when in operation, and a second wall that is facing away from the first wall. A guide slot for a movable blade is defined between inwardly facing inner surfaces of the metal component and the support insert and a movable blade having a plurality of movable blade teeth.
Stationary blade and manufacturing method
A method of manufacturing a stationary blade. A metal component is provided, and a first bending procedure is applied, forming a top wall and two legs at opposite ends of the top wall that are spaced away from one another longitudinally. Each of the two legs is arranged at a first angle with respect to the top wall, and two bending edges are formed between the top wall and the two legs. A support insert is also provided having a longitudinal extension that is at least slightly greater than a receiving space between the two bending edges. The metal component and support insert are joined, and a second bending procedure is applied to the metal component, where the two legs are further bent, thereby arranging each of the two legs at a second angle with respect to the top wall that is smaller than the first angle.
BLADE SET, HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE, AND RELATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
A hair cutting appliance, a blade set for a hair cutting appliance, and to an integrally formed metal-plastic composite stationary blade for said blade set and a method of manufacture is disclosed. The stationary blade includes a first wall portion arranged to serve as a skin facing wall when in operation, a second wall portion at least partially offset from the first wall portion, such that the first wall portion and the second wall portion define therebetween an inner guide slot arranged to receive a moveable cutter blade. At least one toothed leading edge is jointly formed by the first wall portion and the second wall portion, and a plastic component comprising at least one mounting element.
STATIONARY BLADE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method of manufacturing a stationary blade. A metal component is provided, and a first bending procedure is applied, forming a top wall and two legs at opposite ends of the top wall that are spaced away from one another longitudinally. Each of the two legs is arranged at a first angle with respect to the top wall, and two bending edges are formed between the top wall and the two legs. A support insert is also provided having a longitudinal extension that is at least slightly greater than a receiving space between the two bending edges. The metal component and support insert are joined, and a second bending procedure is applied to the metal component, where the two legs are further bent, thereby arranging each of the two legs at a second angle with respect to the top wall that is smaller than the first angle.
Shaving and Grooming Apparatus
A shaving and grooming apparatus includes a handle and a cartridge attached to the handle. A plurality of upper blades are positioned in the cartridge, where at least some of the plurality of upper blades include curved tips with a curvature that sufficient to prevent the curved tips from contact a cutting surface during use. A plurality of lower blades is positioned adjacent to the plurality of upper blades in the cartridge, where at least some of the plurality of lower blades comprises curved tips with a curvature that sufficient to prevent the curved tips from contact a cutting surface during cutting. At least one of the plurality of upper and the plurality of lower blades has a thickness and flexibility that results in deflection during cutting that increases effectiveness of cutting action. A drive motor moves the plurality of upper blades relative to the plurality of lower blades.
Electric handheld hair trimmer with blade guard
A trimmer includes a blade assembly including a stationary blade and a movable blade. Each of the stationary blade and the movable blade includes blade teeth. The stationary blade includes a first transverse edge portion, a second transverse edge portion, and a middle portion. The first transverse edge portion includes a first upper surface extending from a first edge to the upper surface. The second transverse edge portion includes a second upper surface extending from a second edge to the upper surface. In some embodiments, the trimmer includes a toothed blade guard.

The present invention relates to cutting body hair such as beard stubbles of multidays' beard. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cutter system for an electric shaver and trimmer, comprising a pair of cooperating cutting elements with two rows of comb-like cutting teeth at opposite edges thereof and at least one field of cutting perforations between said rows of comb-like cutting teeth, which cutting perforations are formed in a skin contact surface or skin facing surface of said cutting elements, wherein said cutting elements are movably supported relative to each other by a support structure which provides for a pivot axis about which said cooperating cutting elements are pivotable to follow the skin contour.
