ELECTRIC SHAVER
Electric shaver provided with a handle and a shaver head including at least one drivable cutter element, wherein said shaver head is connected to said handle by means of a support structure providing for a swivel and/or tilting axis about which said shaver head may swivel or tilt relative to said handle, wherein said support structure includes a pair of link arms forming a four-joint linkage with each link arm having a head joint connected to a shaver head part and a handle joint connected to the handle or a base part connected thereto.
ELECTRIC SHAVER
The present invention relates to an electric shaver comprising a shaver housing, a shaver head including at least one cutter element drivable by a drive unit in an oscillating manner along a cutter oscillation axis and a non-cutting auxiliary function element for applying an auxiliary skin treatment other than hair cutting to a skin portion to be shaved, said auxiliary function element having an applicator head positioned aside the cutter element. The shaver head and/or the at least one cutter element is supported pivotably relative to the auxiliary function element at least about a pivot axis parallel to the cutter oscillation axis.
Linkage unit and hair cutting appliance
A hair cutting appliance includes a linkage unit configured to couple a cutting unit and to a housing of the hair cutting appliance. The linkage unit includes a four-bar linkage mechanism having first and second arms which respectively include first and second bases pivots coupled to a base. The first and second base pivots are arranged at the base at a fixed distance. The first arm and second arms also respectively include first and second top pivots coupled to a connecting bar. The connecting bar is configured to be coupled to the cutting unit such that, during operation, the cutting unit is pivotably supported by the four-bar linkage mechanism.
MOUNTING ASSEMBLY FOR A HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE
According to an aspect, there is provided a mounting assembly (20) for a hair cutting appliance (10), the mounting assembly comprising: a base (22) and a head (24), the head comprising a body (26) and a driving bridge (28) and being configured to receive a cutting unit (14), wherein the driving bridge is configured to couple to the cutting unit and to reciprocally move relative to the body; a pivoting mechanism (60) disposed between the head and the base and configured to permit pivoting movement of the head relative to the base about a primary axis (50) and a secondary axis (70); and a driving unit (40) comprising a frame (42) and a driving axle (44), wherein the driving axle is rotatable relative to the frame about an elongate axis of the driving axle, and the frame provides a bearing surface (52) for the driving axle; wherein the frame comprises a body coupling (54) which is configured to couple to the body of the head to permit pivoting movement of the head relative to the frame about a body pivot axis (56) which is parallel to the primary pivot axis, and wherein the driving unit comprises a base coupling (58) which is configured to couple to the base to permit pivoting movement of the frame relative to the base about a base axis (62) which is parallel to the secondary axis; wherein the driving axle comprises: an eccentric driving pin (46) at a distal end of the driving axle, the eccentric driving pin configured to interact with the driving bridge to induce reciprocating movement to the driving bridge relative to the body of the head; and a socket (48) on a proximal end of the axle for engaging with a driving head (19) on a motor axle (18) for rotary transmission.
A HAIR TRIMMING SYSTEM
According to an aspect, there is provided a hair trimming system comprising a handle and a head, the head comprising a cutting unit for cutting hairs, and the head being moveable relative to the handle, wherein: the head comprises a base configured to be received in the handle, wherein the base comprises a connecting portion configured to cooperate with the handle to connect the handle and the head, and to permit pivoting movement of the head with respect to the handle about the connecting portion, and the base comprises a main indentation and an intermediate indentation; the handle comprises a holding mechanism comprising a moveable stop configured to be received separately in each of the main indentation and in the intermediate indentation, to restrict pivoting movement of the head relative to the handle about the connecting portion so as to secure the head to the handle, wherein the stop is biased to a locked position relative to the handle, wherein in the locked position, the stop is received in one of the main indentation and the intermediate indentation, to secure the head to the handle, wherein when the stop is received in the main indentation, the base of the head is received within the handle in an operational configuration, and when the stop is received in the intermediate indentation, the head is pivoted away from the handle relative to the operational configuration, in an open configuration.
Pivoting arrangement
A pivoting arrangement for a shaving device, comprising a pivoting member (10), adapted to support a shaving head, a cradle (11), pivotally supporting the pivoting member, and a spring loading arrangement (13) arranged to bias the pivoting member in a resting position. The spring loading arrangement has a limited active range, so that, when the pivoting member is brought out of the resting position in a first pivoting direction, the spring loading arrangement is prevented from interacting with the pivoting member in a first point of action (14a), and when the pivoting member is brought out of the resting position in a second pivoting direction, the spring loading arrangement is prevented from interacting with the pivoting member in a second point of action (14b). As a result, the resting position will not be dependent on e.g. the spring constants of different springs in the spring loading arrangement. The resting position will thus be more exactly defined, and exhibit less variation than conventional solutions. Also, the total force acting on the pivoting member will be reduced, thus causing less friction, also serving to improve the predictability of the arrangement.
Hair clippers with flexing electrically adjustable blades
A flex clipper provides a feature to help the cutting blade set float more effortlessly by adjusting automatically to the contours of a client's head to prevent getting stuck and causing cuts and irritation to the scalp. The hair clipper preferably also uses a self-contained motor-driven pivotable adjustment mechanism to adjust the relative position of the stationary and reciprocating blades of a common type of blade set. One or more on/off switches operable by the thumb of the hand holding the clipper to afford a barber total automatic adjustment with the clipper itself in an on or off condition.
Shaver
A shaver includes a housing including first and second housing halves defining an interior chamber, the housing having an operational end and an opposite, bottom end, the interior chamber containing a motor acting through a transmission and configured for reciprocally driving a pair of laterally reciprocating drive fingers. Each drive finger includes an elongate finger drive element extending from the operational end. A resilient seal having slits accommodating the finger drive elements is captured in corresponding seal cavities in each of the housing halves. The seal and the housing halves are configured for placing the seal in at least one of radial and axial compression upon assembly of the housing halves together.
