A channel is defined by the base and is operable to receive a cam adapter. A cam adapter has a drive connector opposite a blade engagement member. The drive connector is operable to engage a drive member of a motor of an electric trimmer. The blade engagement member is operable to engage and reciprocate a dynamic cutting blade of a blade assembly.
