Hair Cutting System and Methods of Use
Various embodiments of a system for cutting hair are described herein. The hair cutting system includes a user interface, a positioning mechanism, a securing mechanism, and a cutting mechanism. The power source is configured to supply electrical power while the user interface includes a data receiving unit for receiving data related to a head of a user, and a display is configured to input data and/or display data. The cutting mechanism is electrically coupled to the power source for cutting the hair on the head of the user. The positioning mechanism is for positioning the cutting mechanism relative to the head of the user, and the securing mechanism for supporting the positioning mechanism. Method and apparatus for providing feedback regarding motion of a rotary shaver performed by a user
There is provided a method of providing feedback regarding motion of a rotary shaver performed by a user, the method comprising the steps of receiving, during at least one time interval, at least one motion type determined for the motion of the rotary shaver performed by the user, wherein the motion type is selected from a set of predefined motion types that comprises small rotational motion and one or more other predefined motion types; determining a degree of occurrence in the time interval of each of the motion types in the set of time interval; determining from the determined degree of occurrence of each of the motion types in the set of predefined motion types which motion type has a highest degree of occurrence in the time interval; and providing feedback to the user to increase a degree of occurrence of small rotational motion of the rotary shaver if the determined motion type having the highest degree of occurrence is one of the other predefined motion types.
Cleaning and charging station
The invention relates to a cleaning and charging station for an electrically driven device. The station comprising an outer housing with a base portion and a gallows structure extending from the base portion. The base portion comprises a cleaning chamber for at least partially receiving the electrically driven device and the gallows structure comprises a charging terminal for charging the electrically driven device. The station further comprises a circuit board mounted within the housing and connected to the charging terminal. The circuit board is located in the gallows structure at a position spaced from the cleaning chamber.

A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

CUTTING LENGTH ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM, ADJUSTMENT DRIVE AND HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE
The present disclosure relates to an adjustment drive (50; 150) for a cutting length adjustment mechanism (24; 130) for a hair cutting appliance (10; 110), the adjustment drive (50; 150) comprising an actuator (52) that is configured to actuate a movable portion (40; 120) of the cutting length adjustment mechanism (24; 130) with respect to a housing portion (12; 112) of the hair cutting appliance (10; 110), and a movement sensor unit (66) that is configured to detect a movement of the hair cutting appliance (10; 110), involving at least one of an orientation change and a position change, and to output an adjustment control signal that is derived from the detected movement, wherein, in a length adjustment mode, the actuator (52) is operated on the basis of the adjustment control signal. The present disclosure further relates to a cutting length adjustment mechanism (24; 130) for a hair cutting appliance (10; 110), a hair cutting appliance (10; 110), and to a method of operating a cutting length adjustment mechanism (24; 130) for a hair cutting appliance (10; 110).
Displaying a guidance indicator to a user
According to an aspect, there is provided a method of displaying a guidance indicator to a user. The method comprises receiving a series of images of a head of a user; determining, from each image of the series of images, information relating to the position of the head of the user; and displaying to the user, on a display screen, a guidance indicator associated with a representation of the head of the user only if each of one or more defined conditions regarding the position of the head is met. According to other aspects, an apparatus is also provided.
