The present invention relates to a method and system for wirelessly monitoring and controlling hair cutting apparatus. Through the present method and system, it is possible to monitor the performance of hair cutting equipment, and control the hair cutting equipment, in order to maintain the overall condition of the hair cutting equipment and secure the equipment from unauthorized use.

The method of the present invention relates to connecting an electric board having specific sensor capabilities to the internal components of a hair cutting apparatus, and establishing a wireless connection between the modified hair cutting apparatus to a computing device having stored thereon a digital system that allows control and monitoring of the hair cutting apparatus.

A COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR PROVIDING VISUAL FEEDBACK TO A USER OF A ROTARY SHAVER, AND AN APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT IMPLEMENTING THE SAME

According to an aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method for providing visual feedback to a user of a rotary shaver. The method comprises (i) receiving movement measurements representing movement of the rotary shaver during a shaving operation; (ii) processing the received movement measurements to determine a representation of a trajectory of movement of the rotary shaver during the shaving operation; (iii) processing the determined representation to project the representation onto a two-dimensional plane; (iv) generating a graphical user interface, GUI, the GUI including the projected representation and a graphical template comprising an annular target zone for a correct circular motion of the rotary shaver during the shaving operation; and (v) displaying the generated GUI using a display unit.

An electric shaver having a shaving unit and a sensor with a first sensor unit fixed to a main body and a second sensor unit fixed to a sensor unit carrier, for indicating a distance between the sensor units. The shaving unit and the sensor unit carrier are suspended to the main body for displacement along a z-axis between a rest position and a pushed-in position in response to a pushing force exerted onto a shaving face of the shaver. The first and second sensor units are located in positions offset from the z-axis over a distance (d) in an x-direction. An anti-tilting guide is provided for guiding the sensor unit carrier against tilting about a y-axis.

The device is for performing the treatment operation on the body part, and the device comprises one or more orientation sensors for measuring the orientation of the device in a reference frame of the device. The method comprises obtaining a three dimensional, 3D, representation of the body part, the 3D representation comprising normal vectors for respective positions on the surface of the body part; receiving a plurality of orientation measurements from the one or more orientation sensors representing orientation of the device during the treatment operation on the body part; processing the received orientation measurements to determine a sequence of orientations of the device during the treatment operation; and comparing the determined sequence of orientations of the device to the normal vectors and respective positions of the normal vectors to determine the location of the device on the surface of the body part during the treatment operation.
