A SHAVING BLADE CARTRIDGE AND A SHAVER COMPRISING SUCH SHAVING BLADE CARTRIDGE
A shaving blade cartridge and a shaver having such shaving blade cartridge including a housing extending longitudinally along a longitudinal axis. The housing includes a top side and a bottom side opposite to the top side, and front and rear longitudinal sides, each front and rear longitudinal sides extending longitudinally along the longitudinal axis between the top and bottom sides. A primary cutting element is mounted on the housing between the front and rear longitudinal sides. The primary cutting element includes a cutting edge facing forwardly toward the front longitudinal side. A primary cover is located rearward of the primary cutting element a primary guard is located forward of the primary cutting element and, trimming is mounted on the housing. The trimming element includes a trimming edge. The trimming element of the shaving blade cartridge is located forward of the primary cutting element, and the trimming edge faces toward direction opposite the front longitudinal side.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SHAVING RAZOR CARTRIDGE
A method of manufacturing a razor cartridge by molding a housing having a first mounting surface with a first notch extending into the housing to a first inner side wall. At least one blade is having a cutting edge is mounted to the housing. A first blade retention member is mounted over the cutting edge and on top of the first mounting surface. The first blade retention member is spaced apart from the first inner side wall by at least 0.25 mm.
A SHAVER'S HANDLE WITH A LOCK AND RELEASE MECHANISM FOR ENGAGING AND DISENGAGING A RAZOR CARTRIDGE
A handle for a shaving razor adapted to releasably support a razor cartridge is provided. The handle includes a handle body and an actuation button actuable to release the razor cartridge. At least part of the actuation button has a substantially spherical shape and is positioned to allow a finger of a user to make contact with the substantially spherical shape when actuating the actuation button.
Razor Cartridge Seal
A razor cartridge has a housing with a blade mounting region between a guard and a cap. A first and a second razor blade are sequentially mounted in the blade mounting region with an intermediate non-cutting and skin engaging structure between the blades. The intermediate structure has a leading edge region closest the guard and at or adjacent a skin engaging surface of the intermediate structure. The leading edge region of the intermediate structure has an elastomeric linear seal contacting the first razor blade to seal any gap between the intermediate structure and the first blade.
BLADE WITH SKIN AND HAIR CONTROL ELEMENT
A razor cartridge comprising a first cutting member, a second cutting member and a control element. The first and second cutting members are disposed between a leading longitudinal side and a trailing longitudinal side of the razor cartridge in a shaving direction of the razor cartridge, wherein the second cutting member is disposed behind the first cutting member in the shaving direction, and wherein each cutting member faces in the shaving direction. The control element is disposed between the first cutting member and the second cutting member, wherein the control element is in contact with the second cutting member.
RAZOR CARTRIDGE
Provided is a razor cartridge including: a first blade having a first base portion and a first cutting edge formed therein; a second blade disposed in front of the first blade to be adjacent to the first blade, and having a second base portion and a sliding edge therein; and a blade housing supporting the first base portion to have at least a portion of the first cutting edge exposed, and supporting the second base portion to have at least a portion of the sliding edge exposed, and the second blade is formed so that a ratio t.sub.3/t.sub.4 of a thickness t.sub.3 of the sliding edge to a thickness t.sub.4 of the second base portion is less than 1 and greater than a ratio t.sub.1/t.sub.2 of a thickness t.sub.1 of the first cutting edge to a thickness t.sub.2 of the first base portion.
Shaving device
A shaving device comprising a head assembly having a support member and a blade cartridge. The support member is configured to be detachably coupled to a handle. The blade cartridge has a first and a second face wherein at least one of the first or second faces comprises at least one razor blade. The blade cartridge is configured to be rotatably coupled to the support member about a pivot axis such that the blade cartridge is pivotable by a user to select one of the first or second faces.
Shaving Device
A shaving device comprising a handle, a support member, a blade cartridge retention frame, and a replaceable blade assembly. The support member is disposed about a first end of the handle and includes at least one arm extending outward from a yoke. The blade cartridge retention frame includes a blade cartridge retention frame magnet and is coupled to the at least one arm and configured to pivot about a pivot axis. The replaceable blade assembly includes a blade assembly magnet and a blade assembly body having a face with a razor blade. The blade assembly magnet and the blade cartridge retention frame magnet are configured to create a repulsive magnetic force therebetween to releasably couple the replaceable blade assembly to the blade cartridge retention frame.

Razor cartridge guard structure
A novel guard structure of a razor is shown including rows of elongated hard plastic protrusions having rounded (e.g., not sharp or pointed) tips arranged on a tip curved profile. The rounded valleys between the protrusions are also arranged on a curved profile which may be different than that of the tip curved profile. The valleys encompass an inner protrusion volume which increases going back to front end of the guard structure. Preferably, the front end volumes are larger than the back end inner protrusion volumes to assist in trapping and distributing shaving aid. In one embodiment having six protrusions, the inner protrusion volume between a second and third protrusion is the largest, while a volume between first and second protrusion is the second largest volume. The guard structure is disposed in front of the blades formed within the housing and may extend past the front end of the housing.
