Each of the cutting members comprises a blade support comprising a blade mounting portion disposed on an inner surface of the respective blade support that, in use, faces away from a shaving plane, and a blade attached to the blade mounting portion. The cutting members are disposed to define a plurality of inter-blade spans between cutting edges of the blades. A leading inter-blade span that is closer to the leading longitudinal side of the razor cartridge than a trailing inter-blade span is different to the trailing inter-blade span that is closer to the trailing longitudinal side of the razor cartridge than the leading inter-blade span.

A first separation distance X between a straight line extending in a longitudinal direction from a front surface of the base portion and an end point of the cutting edge ranges from 0.3 mm to 1.0 mm.

A trimming assembly for dreadlocks comprises a handle. A cutting head is operatively connected to the handle. The cutting head comprises a cutting head body defining a receptacle at a radial end thereof. The receptacle is structured to receive a dreadlock. A blade protector is positioned axially within the receptacle. A curvature of the blade protector corresponds to a curvature of an inner wall of the receptacle. A blade is interposed between the blade protector and the inner wall. The blade defines a cutting edge at an axial end thereof proximate to the handle. The cutting edge is structured to cut loose hair protruding outwards from the dreadlock as the cutting head is moved along the dreadlock.

A razor cartridge comprising a first blade support and a second blade support, each of the first and second blade supports include a flat portion having a lower surface and a front end. A support plane S is tangent to the respective front ends of the first and second blade supports and the lower surface faces away from the support plane S. A first blade is attached to the lower surface of the flat portion of the first blade support. The first blade includes a first cutting edge. A second blade is attached to the lower surface of the flat portion of the second blade support. The second blade includes a second cutting edge. The first and second cutting edges are offset with respect to the support plane S.

Disclosed here are shaving razor systems and methods including razor cartridges with a unitary frame having a length and width, a topside and an underside, wherein the unitary frame includes angled joints or bends connecting at least three guards running lengthwise on the unitary frame, the guards separated by at least three gaps in the frame, and at least three blades, affixed to the underside of the guards of the unitary frame, wherein the at least three blades include edges, and wherein the blade edges extend into the gaps in the frame when affixed to the underside of the guards of the unitary frame.

Razor system

A cutting member for a shaving cartridge is provided that includes a flat cutting portion, a bent portion, and a base portion. The flat cutting portion has a front cutting-edge portion. The bent portion is intermediate to the base portion and the flat cutting portion. The bent portion and the base portion are made out of one single piece of material. The bent portion is arranged such that it is adjacent to the front cutting portion. The proposed shape of the cutting member resembles a reverse L.

Razor system

A shaving cartridge (1) with connectors (3) on each side portion of the plurality of side portions (2C) of the housing (2D) and a plurality of cutting members (7). Each of the connectors is operable to permit the side portions to pivot relative to each other. Thus, the housing will assume different configurations and is operable to adapt to and follow a contour defined by a shaving surface.

RAZOR CARTRIDGE

A cartridge for a razor comprises at least one blade and a first blade support configured to attach the at least one blade to the cartridge. The first blade support includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion, a first optical feature provided on one or more of the first portion, the second portion, and the third portion. The first optical feature is selected from one or more of a color, a coating, a texture, a perforation, a transparency of the blade support, a light emitting source, a protrusion and a sticker.

LASER WELDED RAZOR BLADES

A method for manufacturing a razor cartridge component comprises continuously feeding an elongated band of material, separating one or more blade support elements from the elongated band of material, stabilizing the one or more separated blade support elements in a stationary position; providing one or more razor blades; and laser welding the one or more razor blades to respective ones of the stabilized one or more blade support elements.
