System, method, and apparatus for planter weight transfer
A removably installable apparatus and system for managing weight transfer along a tractor drawn tool bar for use in row planting systems is provided. The planter weight transfer system comprises first and second bolt-on bracket assemblies, each bolt-on bracket assembly comprising a primary plate and a secondary plate secured to each other and to a row planter tool bar by a set of fasteners. Additionally, the bolt-on brackets are joined at the top by an actuator which applies a force on the brackets.
System and method for controlling the operation of an agricultural implement
An agricultural implement includes a frame and a ground-engaging tool supported on the frame, with the ground-engaging tool configured to perform an operation on a field as the agricultural implement travels across the field. The agricultural implement includes an imaging device configured to generate image data depicting a portion of the field and a computing system communicatively coupled to the imaging device. In this respect, the computing system is configured to identify a plurality of residue pieces present within the portion of the field based on the image data generated by the imaging device. Furthermore, the computing system is configured to determine a residue length parameter associated with the identified plurality of residue pieces. Additionally, the computing system is configured to control a travel direction of the agricultural implement based on the determined residue length parameter.
ADJUSTABLE ROW UNIT AND VEHICLE WITH ADJUSTABLE ROW UNIT
A first leg extends upward from the left frame and a second leg extends upward from the right frame to connect the legs to the beam. One or more satellite navigation receivers are associated with beam to determine a position and an attitude of the beam. One or more row units are suspended from the beam, each row unit having a first nozzle and a second nozzle, wherein the first nozzle and the second nozzle are associated with an adjustable reference position in one or more dimensions with respect to the beam.
Wheel assembly for an adjustable planter bar system
A wheel assembly for a multi-row planter comprises a wheel, a connection assembly, and a piston assembly. The connection assembly has a mounting surface adapted to engage a mounting bracket for mounting to a planter bar. The a piston assembly is adapted to permit movement of the wheel assembly between a first folded position and a second extended position. The wheel assembly is slidably coupled to the planter bar such that it may be slidably positioned at any point along the full lateral length of the planter bar.
AUTOMATIC TARGET RECOGNITION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
This invention relates to an apparatus for controlling weeds. The apparatus includes a tine formation adapted to remove or disrupt targeted weeds, and a tine support assembly adapted to support the tine for movement about a first control axis in a generally vertical direction between an engaged position wherein the tine formation in use contacts a ground surface for removal or disruption of targeted weeds and a disengaged position wherein the tine formation is substantially retracted from the ground surface. The tine support assembly is further adapted to support the tine for movement about a second control axis in a generally horizontal direction. The tine support assembly further includes a first actuation mechanism adapted to effect movement of the tine about the first control axis, and a second actuation mechanism adapted to effect movement of the tine about the second control axis. The apparatus also includes a sensing system for sensing aspects of an environment and generating data indicative thereof, and a classification system for identifying target weeds within the environment on the basis of the data from the sensing system. A control system is adapted to activate the first and second actuation mechanisms of the tine support assembly in accordance with a predetermined control logic thereby sequentially to position the tine for disruptive contact with the targeted weeds.
TRAILING MACHINE FOR THE LEVELLING OF GROUND AND ROADS
The invention relates to a towable machine for leveling ground and roads which can be towed by a tractor or tractor unit, comprising a chassis attached to the tractor unit, wherein said chassis supports a scarifier-type front portion that directs the scarified material towards a leveling blade, said material accumulating in a container demarcated by side walls, and wherein the scarifier-type front portion is formed by three scarifier-type blades which are curved and arranged in a delta shape with respect to the forward movement direction and bearing interchangeable spikes or tines at the lower end thereof.
Apparatus for applying a pesticide to perennial crops
An applicator assembly for applying an active substance to the root zone of a plurality of plants, the applicator assembly comprising: a subsoil applicator having a cutting element for generating an incision in the ground, an injector associated with the cutting element to allow the active substance to be injected into the incision; and a positioning device adapted to allow the position of the cutting element to change position such that an incision is generated in some material in the root zone while the cutting element moves over other material in the root zone.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A COUPLED UNIT
A method for operating a coupled unit with a swather attached to a tractor, and a round baler attached to the swather. The method includes using the swather to pick up a crop and to deposit the picked-up crop in a deposit area to form a swath with a swath center, using the round baler to pick up the swath via a pick-up device and to further compress the picked-up swath into a crop bale, and performing an automatic pick-up adjustment via a device adjustment on the swather and/or the round bailer via an actuator-based device setting, at which automatic pick-up adjustment a relative picking up position taken at the swath center and at the pick-up device relative to one another with respect to a round baler transverse axis is adjusted so as to achieve a uniform build-up of the crop bale.
Apparatus to reliably locate pull-type implement according to a localizing signal
A shifting module for releasable securement on the lower two arms of a conventional three-point hitch of a tractor and for laterally shifting a pull-type implement mounted on the shifting module. The shifting module includes a lateral support having a pin on either end section for grasping and securement by the lower two arms of the three-point hitch. A traveler is mounted on the lateral support and a linear actuator operates to shift the traveler along the lateral support to any desired position along the lateral support. A hitch on the traveler is used for mounting of the pull-type implement so that the implement can be reliably and accurately positioned along a desired path.
Plant maintenance apparatus with plant sensing members
The invention disclosed is a plant maintenance apparatus to move along a plant or line of plants. The apparatus has a support frame to connect to a prime mover to move the apparatus. A sensing member is mounted from the frame, to contact and be deflected by the plant as the apparatus is moved. A sensor to senses the deflection and if the deflection is above a threshold it issues a signal to an actuator. There is a near ground member, mounted from and moving with the frame. The near ground member acted on by the actuator, so that when the threshold is met the near ground member moves to a first position away from the plant when immediately adjacent thereto, and then moves to a second position once past said plant. The result is the near ground member can treat a ground or soil or otherwise at or near a plant at least when in the second position, including disturbing any non-desired plants on the ground, while moving away from and not disturbing the plant which is sensed and above the threshold when in the first position.
