20230302689 · 2023-09-28 ·

One object is to efficiently secure good quality oil by preventing the clogging of tar in a device body or piping. There is provided a waste plastic liquefaction device comprising a pyrolysis tank that thermally decomposes and gasifies a waste plastics; a gas cooler that cools a pyrolysis gas generated in the pyrolysis tank to produce a generated oil; and a circulation tank that recovers the generated oil produced by the gas cooler and circulates a portion of the generated oil to the gas cooler. The circulation tank has a temperature adjustment device which maintains the temperature of the generated oil in the circulation tank within a predetermined temperature range in the circulation tank. The circulation tank is connected to a centrifugal separator so that the generated oil in the circulation tank is returned to the circulation tank after impurities is removed by the centrifugal separator.

The present disclosure relates to apparatus and processes for inspection, sortation, and pysrolysis of waste plastic feeds. In at least one embodiment, a method includes inspecting a waste platic bale, shredding its contents to particles, and sorting those particles based on target identifiers, such as material composition. The sorted material are then pyrolyzed to achaive a desired pyrolysis product.

Method and apparatus for recovering fibers embedded in a composite material

A method for recovering fibers embedded in a composite material including loading a furnace chamber with a volume of the composite material; thermolyzing the composite material in the furnace chamber, resulting in a gaseous fraction that is continuously evacuated from the furnace chamber, and a residue of fibers covered with char that is left in the furnace chamber; cracking the gaseous fraction from the thermolyzing operation, resulting in a mixture of condensable and non-condensable gases that can be recycled; injecting a stream of an oxygen-containing gas into the still hot furnace chamber after the thermolyzing is completed therein, to burn the char from the fibers in an exothermic combustion.

The present invention includes a system and a method for the refinement of char and the manufacture of regenerated carbon black through waste tire pyrolysis, wherein, in a process of refining char obtained through a pyrolysis process of a waste tires, volatile constituents of char are preferentially removed prior to molding using a pyrolysis furnace having a continuous-type configuration and capable of operating in a continuous manner, and microparticular or microparticle-type regenerated carbon black is produced using the resulting char of increased purity as a material and then molded into spheres with water serving as a binder, whereby regenerated carbon black of high quality can be produced, with the concomitant achievement of cost reduction and an increase in output in the process of producing corresponding spherical regenerated carbon black.

Molten salt assisted pyrolysis recycling of glass fiber reinforced polymer composites

A method of recycling glass fiber-reinforced polymer composite materials that can provide improved quality recycled glass fiber is described. More particularly, the method comprises pyrolysis of glass fiber-reinforced polymer composite scrap and/or end-of-life material and the subsequent immersion of the pyrolyzed glass fibers in a molten salt bath, e.g., comprising molten potassium nitrate. Immersion in the molten salt bath can eliminate char from the pyrolyzed fibers, as well as removing residual inorganic materials. In addition, immersion in the molten salt bath can strengthen the glass fiber, which can result in the recovery or avoidance of tensile strength losses normally incurred through traditional char removal processes.

Process for recovering polymer oil

Process and apparatus for recovering a product stream from a waste plastic feedstock and reducing the endpoint of the product stream is provided. A polymer oil is produced as a product stream by pyrolyzing the waste plastic feedstock in a pyrolysis reactor to produce a pyrolysis reactor effluent and passing the reactor effluent stream to a contact condensing column. In the contact condensing column, the pyrolysis reactor effluent stream is separated into a vapor product stream and a liquid product stream. The vapor product stream is recovered from the condensing column and the liquid product stream is passed back to the pyrolysis reactor for further reduction.

Process for the preparation of polymers from waste plastic feedstocks

The present invention relates to a process for the production of polymers from waste plastics feedstocks comprising the steps in this order of: (a) providing a hydrocarbon stream A obtained by treatment of a waste plastics feedstock; (b) optionally providing a hydrocarbon stream B; (c) supplying a feed C comprising a fraction of the hydrocarbon stream A and a fraction of the hydrocarbon stream B to a thermal cracker furnace comprising cracking coil(s); (d) performing a thermal cracking operation in the presence of steam to obtain a cracked hydrocarbon stream D; (e) supplying the cracked hydrocarbon stream D to a separation unit; (f) performing a separation operation in the separation unit to obtain a product stream E comprising a monomer; (g) supplying the product stream E to a polymerisation reactor; and (h) performing a polymerisation reaction in the polymerisation reactor to obtain an polymer. The process of the present invention allows for optimisation of the quantity of waste plastic material that finds its way back into a polymer that is produced as outcome of the process.
