Tillage apparatuses and related methods
An apparatus, which may be a tillage apparatus, may have a flexible frame. The frame may be made from open members. The frame may support ground engagers and may be supported on wheel assemblies. The ground engagers may be connected to a spring trip mechanism. The ground engagers may be mounted to open members of the frame with a clamping style mechanism. The clamp mechanism may include wedge devices. The frame may be lowered and raised relative to wheels of the wheel assemblies with a lift mechanism. One row of ground engagers may be raised or lowered relative to the frame independent of another row of ground engagers. An anti-skid or skew control system may be employed in association with the independent height adjustment of one row of ground engagers. A system may be provided to maintain and control the height of a tow hitch forming part of the apparatus.
TOOLBAR SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
An agricultural implement includes a toolbar system having a toolbar frame, an elevator assembly, and a first wing on one side of the toolbar frame. The first wing may be coupled to the elevator and pivotable about a first vertical axis of rotation between an extended and a folded position. Tools may be coupled to the first wing and rotatable relative to a longitudinal axis of the first wing from an operating position below the first wing to a transport/shipping position above the first wing. Further, the first wing may be adapted to be moveable to position the first wing higher than a wheel of the agricultural implement on the same side of the toolbar frame in the folded position. Subsequently, the tools may be circularly rotated and the middle wing and tools pushed down to reduce the overall width and height of the implement for transporting or shipping.
Active Down-Pressure Arrangement for Agricultural Implement
An agricultural implement having a center section and wings is converted from dedicated free-floating wings to provide active-down pressure upon the wings. The agricultural implement has been manufactured with hydraulic cylinders to raise and lower the wings. The hydraulic cylinders are connected at one end to the center section, and at the other end to the wings by way of pins and slots. The hydraulic cylinders, the pins, and the slots are configured so that when the wings are lowered, the wings of the agricultural implement as manufactured free-float vertically by way of unrestricted motion of the pins in the slots. Tie-plates and second pins are configured to engage the first pins and the slots, and to restrict the motion of the first pins in the slots. A pressure controlled hydraulic circuit is connected to the hydraulic cylinders and controls an amount of down-pressure applied by the hydraulic cylinders.
Harvester transport preparation
A harvesting platform is connected to a combine for movement with the combine over the ground surface. The harvesting platform includes a cutter bar that cuts a crop being harvested, and a reel that presses the crop against the cutter bar during harvesting. The cutter bar moves between a cutter bar harvesting position and a cutter bar transport position, and the reel moves between a reel harvesting position and a reel transport position. A controller receives a first signal from a user via a user interface, sends a second signal to the cutter bar to move the cutter bar between the cutter bar harvesting position and the cutter bar transport position in response to the first signal, and send a third signal to the reel to move the reel between the reel harvesting position and the reel transport position in response to the first signal.
Folding spray implements having low peak fold height-to-wingspan ratios and agricultural work vehicles including the same
Folding spray implements and agricultural work vehicle equipped with folding spray implements are provided. In embodiments, the folding spray implement includes a centerframe assembly, boom assemblies mounted to opposing sides of the centerframe assembly, and an actuation system coupled to the centerframe and boom assemblies. The boom assemblies include, in turn, inner wings pivotally joined to the centerframe assembly for rotation about frame-to-wing fold joints, as well as outer wings pivotally joined to the inner wings for rotation about wing-to-wing fold joints. The actuation system selectively transitions the folding spray implement: (i) from a stowed position in which axes of wing-to-wing fold joints extend principally in horizontal directions; (ii) through an intermediate unfolded position in which the axes of the wing-to-wing fold joints extend principally in vertical directions; and (iii) to a deployed position in which the axes of the wing-to-wing fold joints extend principally in horizontal directions.
Agricultural toolbar apparatus, systems, and methods
Systems, methods, and apparatus for shifting weight between a tractor and toolbar and between sections of the toolbar and for folding a toolbar between a field position and a transport position.
IN-CROP WEED CLIPPING IMPLEMENT
An implement for clipping weeds in a field, where the weeds are standing taller than the crop. The implement comprises a plurality of rotatable blades on a frame, with variable height adjustment means to elevate the frame and position the blades above the crop but at a level sufficient to clip the upper portions of the weeds, The blades are powered by PTO-driven shaft segments, the segments connected by U-joints, wherein the implement further comprises alignment means for aligning the U-joints so that the frame can be folded for transport without damaging the shafts or U-joints.
Folding hitch
A hitch assembly having a carrier for attachment to a working vehicle. A pair of lift arms, link member and actuator are pivotally interconnected such that the hitch assembly is lockable in working and folded configurations. In the working configuration, the lift arms are secured to the carrier and the actuator is operable to raise and lower the lift arms. In the folded configuration, the lift arms are pivotable relative to the carrier. Extension of the actuator folds the lift arms relative to the carrier to move the hitch assembly between the working and folded configuration.
Tillage apparatuses and related methods
An apparatus, which may be a tillage apparatus may have a flexible frame. The frame may be made from transverse and longitudinal open members.
AGRICULTURAL APPARATUS AND METHOD
An agricultural apparatus includes a first main wing and at least one wheel on one side and a second main wing and at least one wheel on an opposite side. The first and second main wings are pivotable about respective axes of rotation between extended positions in which the first and second main wings extend laterally outward from respective opposite sides of the frame structure, and retracted, storage positions in which the first and second main wings extend generally along a length of the frame structure for shipping or transport. The first and second main wings include respective raised sections each configured to extend over a respective wheel on a corresponding side of the frame structure in the storage position. The raised sections each include a frame having a generally concave shape receiving a portion of one of the first and second wheels in the storage position.
