A machine and a method for producing biodegradable nonwoven textile including seeds including a seed distributing machine unit, positioned in a cross-lapping portion of the nonwoven textile machine. The seed distributing machine unit includes at least one receptacle for seeds having a dispensing opening for regulated outlet of seeds onto a veil of biodegradable fibres. A needle punching portion is situated after the cross-lapping, seen in the direction of the biodegradable nonwoven textile production line of the machine, for needle-punching of the veil of biodegradable fibres.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PLACING SEEDS IN CAPSULES
A device and method for inserting seeds in a capsule includes a seed bin for storing a plurality of plant seeds and a materials bin for storing a growing medium. A first tray is configured to hold a plurality of capsule bodies, and a second tray is configured to hold a plurality of capsule cap portions in which each capsule cap portion is configured to couple to a corresponding capsule body in response to a force being applied between a capsule cap portion and a corresponding capsule body. A motor, coupled to the first tray and the second tray, is configured to enable the first tray and the second tray to move to a plurality of positions within the device. At least one vacuum needle is configured to generate a vacuum suction at a tip of the needle sufficient to extract a plant seed from the seed bin, and a robot arm, coupled to the at least one vacuum needle, is configured to move the at least one vacuum needle to a plurality of positions within the device. The device also includes circuitry configured to control the motor to move the first tray to a first position to receive and hold the plurality of capsule bodies and control the motor to move the second tray to a second position to receive and hold the plurality of capsule cap portions. The circuitry is also configured to control the motor to move the first tray adjacent to the materials bin that enables each of the plurality of capsule bodies to receive and store growing medium extracted from the materials bin, control the robot arm to move the at least one vacuum needle adjacent to the seed bin to pick up a seed from the seed bin, and control the robot arm to move the at least one vacuum needle adjacent to the first tray. When the vacuum suction from the at least one vacuum needle is removed, the seed picked up by the at least one vacuum needle is released into a capsule body in the first tray.

A seedsheet manufacturing apparatus includes: a paste reservoir configured to store a paste in which a seed and a fluid are mixed; a plate cylinder disposed above the paste reservoir; a doctor blade configured to scrape a portion of the paste adhering to a surface of the plate cylinder; a pressing roller disposed such that the pressing roller faces the plate cylinder and a mounting paper is allowed to pass through a gap formed between the pressing roller and the surface of the plate cylinder; a supply unit configured to feed the mounting paper to the gap; and a recovery unit configured to recover the mounting paper that passes through the gap.
System and Method for Prescriptive Seed Treatment
An improved method for prescriptive seed treatment is provided. A location can be calculated where a combination of seed and one or more types and/or amounts of seed-applied substances will be planted. The combination is selected, based at least in part, on one or more conditions. The combination is generated prior to being planted. The method can further include selecting a type of seed and/or a type and/or amount of the one or more seed-applied substances to be applied. One or more applicators can apply the seed-applied substance(s) to the seed within a seed flow path during operation. A plurality of seed receptacles can contain different combinations of seed and/or seed-applied substances generated prior to being placed into the receptacles. The method could further include selecting a seed receptacle containing a selected combination, and delivering the selected combination from the selected seed receptacle to be planted by the planter.

To provide a seedsheet manufacturing apparatus that can increase a manufacturing speed and a seedsheet. Method and Seeder for Sowing an Individual Seed in a Seed Location
Provided herein is a method for sowing an individual seed in a seed location and to a seeder therefor. The method includes arranging a seed on a surface adjacent to an opening that leads to a guide channel that extends to the seed location; flushing the seed from the surface into the opening by directing a fluid over the surface in the direction of the opening; and guiding the seed to a seed location by means of the guide channel. The seeder has at least one opening that leads to a guide channel that extends to a seed location; a surface that is configured to be arranged adjacent to the at least one opening; and a selectively operable fluid supply for each opening, each fluid supply having at least one nozzle that is arranged for directing fluid over the surface in the direction of the opening.

A high throughput system for sorting a plurality of different small object types into a plurality of cells of a plurality of small object cassettes is provided. The system comprises: at least one small object cassette having a plurality of small object cells; an automated conveyor system for transporting the cassette(s) from a loading location to a unloading location on the conveyor system; at least one cassette filling station disposed over the conveyor system such that the conveyor system extends under a small object distribution subsystem of each respective cassette filling station; and a computer based central control system structured and operable to control various operations of the conveyor system and each cassette filling station.

A seedling-package forming system includes a first conveyor including a first track and a first sheet arranged on the first track. A second conveyor is located at a downstream position and includes a second track and a second sheet arranged to lie on the second track. The second track is configured to transport the second sheet toward the first sheet. The first sheet and the second sheet are packed around a plurality of seedlings to form a seedling package.
