Apparatus and method for foam injection molding
Provided are an apparatus and a method for foam injection molding, in which a problem in quality caused by spreading of a minute releasing distance according to conditions of an injection machine is improved by minutely releasing a first moving mold from a fixed mold using a minute releasing member for foaming and minutely releasing a second moving mold from the first moving mold using a minute releasing member for spreading of the injection machine.
Processing method for molding foamed polymer
A processing method for molding a foamed polymer, which includes molding a mixture of a polymer material and a foaming agent in a space of a mould chamber into a molded article having a predetermined shape. The shape of the entire space of the mould chamber is an injection molding shape that is different from the shape of the molded article before the mould chamber is fully filled with the mixture, and a shape of at least one local part of the mould chamber is changed after the space of the mould chamber is fully filled with the mixture. An exterior peripheral surface of a substrate of a movable portion and an adjustment end face are located in a center portion of a first mould surface and are spaced apart from all outer edges of the first mould surface.
Method and apparatus to produce auxetic foam
In methods and apparatuses for producing auxetic foam from conventional foam, conventional foam is compressed into a mold before thermal, chemical or thermo-chemical treatment processes are performed. A segmented mold is accommodated in a compressing apparatus. After compressing the foam between the mold segments, the mold is fastened shut and removed from the compressing apparatus. The forces applied to any given volume of foam and the amounts by which the foam is compressed while being processed are controlled to impart desired mechanical properties to the produced foam. Poisson's ratio and density of discrete portions of finished foam shapes are reliably predicted and controlled to achieve uniform and non-uniform mechanical properties within a single continuous quantity of foam.
MOLDING METHOD FOR OPERATING MOLDING DEVICE
A molding method includes providing a molding device, wherein the molding device includes a first mold and a second mold corresponding to the first mold; moving the first mold towards the second mold to form a first mold cavity; supplying a gas to the first mold cavity; injecting a material into the first mold cavity; and moving the first mold away from the second mold to form a second mold cavity and discharge at least a portion of the gas out of the molding device, wherein a first volume of the first mold cavity is substantially less than a second volume of the second mold cavity.
Polypropylene-based foamed molded body and manufacturing method of polypropylene-based foamed molded body
In a polypropylene-based foamed molded body of the present invention, a density which is measured on the basis of ISO1183 is greater than or equal to 0.15 g/cm.sup.3 and less than or equal to 0.54 g/cm.sup.3, thermal resistance (R) at 30° C. in a thickness direction which is measured on the basis of ASTM E1530 is greater than or equal to 0.020 m.sup.2.Math.K/W and less than or equal to 0.125 m.sup.2.Math.K/W, thermal capacity per unit area (Q) at 30° C. is greater than or equal to 1.0 kJ/m.sup.2.Math.K and less than or equal to 2.5 kJ/m.sup.2.Math.K, and Expression 1 described below is satisfied.
Q>1/(4×R.sup.1/2) (Expression 1)
COMPOSITE MATERIAL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PRODUCT MADE OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING A PRODUCT MADE OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A composite material, comprising a first component and a second component, the first component forming a three-dimensional mesh-type structure and the second component forming a matrix at least regionally filling the interstices between the first component, wherein the second component at least partially comprises an expanded material.
Closure with foamed region and methods of forming said closure
A closure (750) is provided and comprises a top plate (755) and a sidewall (760) depending from the periphery of the top plate. The closure includes a sealing member (765) which depends from the top plate within the sidewall. The top plate includes a foamed region which is restricted to being within a boundary defined by the sealing member; the sealing member being substantially unfoamed.

Method for manufacturing foam molded article, and foam molded article
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a molded foam product which can reduce or prevent blisters and crinkles on the surface even in the case of manufacturing a molded product designed to have a small thickness, thereby giving a molded foam product having excellent heat insulation while avoiding an increase in the amounts of materials used. The method for manufacturing a molded foam product according to the present invention includes the steps of: injecting, during injection molding, a molten resin containing a supercritical fluid or a chemical foaming agent into a cavity formed in a mold that includes a movable portion; and moving the movable portion to increase the volume of the cavity before the molten resin injected into the cavity completely solidifies, the mold alternately including, in a direction from a resin injection port to the periphery of the cavity, first linear portions each giving a large gap size in the cavity and second linear portions each giving a small gap size in the cavity.
