Precision pneumatic seed drill and method of regulating same
A precision pneumatic seed drill. The seed drill comprises at least one sowing element having a seed selector device housing a perforated selector disc which selects seed and has opposing faces subject to a pressure differential. A sowing duct is associated with the selector device. A system measures the speed of forward movement of the seed drill with reference to the ground being sown in order to vary the rotational speed of the selector disc according to the speed of forward movement measured by the measuring system. A pressurization device associated with the selector disc applies the pressure differential to the faces. An ejector along the sowing duct is fed by a compressed air dispenser for pneumatically accelerating the seeds singled out by the selector device. A device for varying the pressure of compressed air fed to the ejector is calibrated according to the typology of the seed to be sown.

A sowing element (1) for agricultural precision sowing machines (100) comprising a seed selection device (10) which includes a casing (10a) and a perforated disc (18) which is caused to rotate in the casing, a pressurization device associated with the casing in order to subject opposite faces (18a, b) of the disc to a pressure differential, an opening (16) in the casing which is for ventilating one of the faces of the disc and which is or can be pneumatically connected to a filtration system (42) or a remote intake system. In this manner, the introduction of sand and powder inside the seed selection device is prevented.
System and method for spraying fluid onto seeds dispensed from a planter
In one aspect, a system for spraying a fluid onto or near seeds may include a planter having a seed meter configured to dispense seeds from a hopper, a seed tube extending from the seed meter toward a furrow, and a rotationally-driven belt positioned within the seed tube. The belt may be configured for conveying the seeds from the seed meter through the seed tube to the furrow. The planter also includes a sprayer assembly having a nozzle configured to spray a fluid on or near the seeds dispensed from the seed meter. The system may further include a controller configured to determine a current speed of the belt relative to the seed tube and control the sprayer assembly based on the current speed of the belt such that the nozzle sprays the fluid at least one of onto or near each of the seeds.

The present invention relates to an agricultural sowing machine having a machine frame and a plurality of drill units moveably arranged next to one another on the machine frame and seed separating devices, wherein the drill units comprise at least furrow opener, a conveying line for conveying the seeds from the seed separating device to a placement zone with a dispensing opening arranged near the ground and a pressure element, the at least one furrow opener, the dispensing opening and the pressure element being arranged in this operating sequence relative to one another in the drill unit and the seed separating device, without a mechanically rigid connection to a component of a drill unit, is moveably connected to the machine frame.
Gardening apparatus
A gardening apparatus includes a feeder cup, a connector, and a central axis. The feeder cup includes a first pouring section, a second pouring section, a third pouring section, and a fourth pouring section. The feeder cup and the connector are concentrically aligned along the central axis. The feeder cup and the connector are adjacently connected to each other as the feeder cup provide storage area for water or fertilizer. The first pouring section, the second pouring section, the third pouring section, and the fourth pouring section are radially integrated into the feeder cup to channel through the stored water or fertilizer. The connector functions as a fastening body to secure the feeder cup to existing watering wands or a handle so that the hard-to-reach botanical can be reached.

Row unit for a seeding machine with pneumatic seed loading
A row unit for a seeding machine includes a seed reservoir and a seed meter having a metering member with a seed side facing the seed reservoir, a non-seed side opposite the seed side, and a plurality of apertures. The seed meter is operable by pressure differential between the non-seed side and the seed side to adhere seeds to the seed side and move seeds from the seed reservoir. A conduit has a venturi with a throat disposed adjacent the metering member. The throat presents an opening directed toward the seed side and the plurality of apertures. The opening is configured to receive a seed adhered to one aperture of the plurality of apertures. An air pressure source is configured to provide greater than atmospheric air pressure on the non-seed side such that during operation of the row unit an air stream passes through the one aperture toward the opening.
Seed inductor apparatus
An inductor apparatus includes an inductor assembly mounted under a seed container such that seeds flow into a reservoir. An air conduit carrying pressurized air extends along the reservoir. Seed channels extend from an inlet located above a pickup air opening in the air conduit to an outlet, and a bypass channel extends downward from each seed channel through an upper wall of the air conduit. A pickup air stream flowing out the pickup air opening forms a seed air stream entrained with seeds flowing into each seed channel inlet and a bypass air stream flows from the air conduit through each bypass channel into each seed channel and the combined seed and bypass air streams flow out the seed channel outlets. The seed channel outlets can be arranged along each side of the inductor assembly, and the rate of flow of the bypass air stream can be adjusted.
Singulating meter feeding multiple furrow openers
A seeding system for seeding large and small seeds includes a plurality of dispensing apparatuses mounted on an implement frame each comprising a first furrow opener mounted and a second furrow opener spaced laterally from the first furrow opener. A singulating meter is operative to dispense the large and small seeds through a meter discharge. A first seed conduit is connected to the first furrow opener and the meter discharge, and a second seed conduit is connected to the second furrow opener and the meter discharge. A selector is operative in a large seed mode to maintain the connection of the first seed conduit to the meter discharge while disconnecting the second seed conduit, and the selector is operative in a small seed mode to maintain the connection of the first seed conduit to the meter discharge while connecting the second seed conduit to the meter discharge.
