The cavity comprises a plate-shaped first part and a plurality of hollow cylindrical second parts arranged next to one another perpendicularly to the first part. The temperature-control system comprises temperature-control channels divided into channel portions for transporting a temperature-control medium and a first and a second temperature-control medium connection, with at least one first channel portion arranged in parallel with the first part. Second channel portions are connected by a first end to the first channel portion and by a second end to a first end of a third channel portion. Third channel portions are connected by a second end to a fourth channel portion. One of the second channel portions and the connected third channel portion are surrounded at least in part by one of the second parts of the cavity.

An injection molding apparatus comprises a support base and a mold carrier removably mounted to the support base. The mold carrier includes a mounting plate with attachment features for engaging the support base. A mold with two mold plates is slidably mounted to the mounting plate. A clamp is operable to move the plates between open and closed positions. In the closed position, the plates abut one another. In the open position, the plates are spaced apart for removing molded articles.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PIPE
An apparatus for manufacturing a pipe includes a mold portion having an inner surface corresponding to an outer shape of the pipe, and a core portion having an outer surface corresponding to an inner shape of the pipe, wherein the mold portion includes an upper mold, a plurality of side molds, and a lower mold, and the core portion includes a plurality of corner cores corresponding to an inner corner of the pipe, and a plurality of side cores disposed between the plurality of corner cores and corresponding to an inner side surface of the pipe, wherein the lower mold is supported to move the plurality of side molds, is installed to slide the plurality of side cores, and is configured to move in a first direction to move the plurality of side molds and the plurality of side cores in a second direction, perpendicular to the first direction.
Rotary injection molding apparatus for producing plastic components such as syringes
A syringe includes a barrel having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall extending substantially circumferentially between the proximal end and the distal end along a longitudinal axis. The barrel is formed from an injection molding process including aligning a mold die defining an internal shape of the barrel in a molding cavity defining an external shape of the barrel, the molding cavity defined by first and second mold sections. Each mold section includes at least one gate adapted to control the flow of a molding material into the molding cavity. The gates of each mold section are opened to permit the first and second melt streams of molding material to fill the molding cavity surrounding the mold die, where the molding material takes the shape of the molding cavity.
Transportable molding system for forming insulation on long pipes and related methods
A portable molding system is configured for forming insulation on pipes. A set of transportable process modules are configured to be shipped to a molding site, operatively connected together at the molding site to form a site-installed molding system, and subsequently disconnected for transport to another site. The set of transportable process modules includes one or more resin preparation modules configured to prepare resin for being formed into insulation on the pipes. One or more mold modules are configured to define a mold cavity. The one or more mold modules are configured to hold a pipe in the mold cavity, to receive resin prepared by the one or more resin preparation modules in the mold cavity around the pipe, and to form said resin received in the mold cavity into insulation on the pipe.
Cylindrical article made of fiber-reinforced resin material, injection molding mold thereof, and injection molding method
A molten resin containing reinforcing fibers is injected from a gate into a cavity formed between an external piece and a center pin, and the molten resins containing the reinforcing fibers join together in the cavity. Thus, a weld line is formed in the molten resin containing the reinforcing fibers in the cavity. With this injection molding mold, moving the external piece with respect to the center pin changes an interval with the center pin. This forcibly causes the molten resin containing the reinforcing fibers in the cavity to flow and disturbs directions of the reinforcing fibers at the weld line. Consequently, the reinforcing fibers at the weld line and near the weld line in a cylindrical article tangle, improving strength at a part where the weld line is formed in the cylindrical article.
Method for producing roller member, roller-member mold, roller shaft, and roller member
A roller shaft is inserted into a mold including molding members respectively having a first mold surface that defines an outer circumference of a roller portion and second and third mold surfaces that respectively define first and second flat portions of the roller portion, and the mold is then closed. A molding material is injected around the roller shaft to integrally mold the roller portion. The roller portion includes the outer circumference and the first and second flat portions rising from the roller shaft to the outer circumference. The roller shaft includes flange portions at portions corresponding to the first and second flat portions. The flange portions prevent the molding material from leaking outside the first and second flat portions when the roller portion is integrally molded around the roller shaft by injection molding.
Flexible golf grip with full thickness rib section and method of making same
A flexible elastomeric grip for a golf club has an elastomeric insert extending fully through the wall of the tubular grip and exposed on its exterior surface. The insert is comprised of a material having greater stiffness than the body material for enhancing gripability.
Nasal/oral cannula system and manufacturing
A nasal/oral cannula for collecting a flow of exhaled gases and its method of manufacture are disclosed. The cannula comprises an elongated tubular body having a first and a second end portion, a surface and an internal volume; a wall internally disposed within said tubular body, said wall defining a first subvolume of said internal volume in the lengthwise direction of the tubular body; and an inlet through said surface, for introducing exhaled gases into said first subvolume. The first end portion defines an exit port for exhaled gases from said subvolume, and said wall is arranged directly adjacent to said inlet.
