A component of a mold for molding preforms made of thermoplastic material, comprising

at least a first part (10) and at least a second part (20) adapted to mold part of the outer surface of a preform,

wherein, when the first part (10) and the second part (20) are assembled to each other, at least a first surface (11) of the first part (10) and at least a second surface (21) of the second part (20) face each other and are spaced apart from each other, thus delimiting a passageway for gases or vapors to leave the mold;

and wherein at least one of said first surface (11) and said second surface (21) comprises laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSSs).

The present disclosure relates to an injection mold, a process for using same and a product therefrom. The injection mold can be used for manufacturing an injection-molded product. The injection mold includes: a transfer mold, which is disposed in front of the injection-molded product and forms a pattern on a front surface of the injection-molded product; and a rear surface mold, which is disposed behind the injection-molded product, wherein an embossing pattern is formed on a rear surface part of the rear surface mold, which faces a rear surface of the injection-molded product.

The medication includes one or more of the following types of medication: anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, numbing, lubricating, and anti-redness. The coating method may include dip coating, sputter deposition, ultrasonic-spraying, and spin-coating. The skirt may be formed by a process that increases its material porosity and/or surface roughness, and may be surface-treated to enhance adhesion and retention of the medication.
