Apparatus and method for detecting a position of an actuator piston driving a valve pin in an injection molding system. The apparatus includes an actuator housing having a body portion, surrounding an axial bore, of a substantially non-magnetic and/or magnetically permeable material, a piston, movable within the axial bore for driving a valve pin, the piston including a magnetic member generating a magnetic field such that axial movement of the piston in the bore modifies the magnetic field according to the position of the piston relative to a detection position, and a magnetic field detector attached to an exterior surface of the body portion at the detection position for detecting the magnetic field associated with the position of the piston and generating an output signal determined by the piston position.
Injection molding machine and flash prevention method
When an injection molding machine performs molding, the mold clamping force on the mold is adjusted on the basis of a mold displacement of the mold or the injection peak pressure and injection foremost position so that the molding is performed without causing flash and by an appropriate mold clamping force with which energy can be reduced. The amount of mold displacement and also the injection peak pressure and the injection foremost position are monitored during automatic operation. If there occurs no mold displacement change exceeding a threshold or if there occurs no injection peak pressure anomaly or injection foremost position anomaly exceeding thresholds, the automatic operation is continued. If the mold displacement change occurs or if the injection peak pressure anomaly and the injection foremost position anomaly occur, the operation of the injection molding machine is stopped.
Nozzle Configuration for Purging Flow Channel
An injection molding apparatus comprising: an injection molding machine, a heated manifold, a nozzle, the downstream end of the nozzle comprising an inner tubular member having a central flow channel and an outer circumferential surface and an outer tubular member having an inner tubular surface, the outer tubular member forming a seal surrounding the gate, the inner and outer tubular members being adapted to form a sealed circumferential gap, the inner tubular member including one or apertures extending radially through the inner tubular member to route flow radially from the fluid flow channel into the circumferential gap.
PLASTICIZING DEVICE, INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS, AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL SHAPING APPARATUS
A plasticizing device includes a plasticizing mechanism including a feeding port for receiving a material and configured to plasticize the material to generate a melted material and a material feeding mechanism configured to feed the material to the plasticizing mechanism. The material feeding mechanism includes a housing including a depositing port communicating with the feeding port, the housing storing the material, and a rotating member housed in the housing and capable of rotating along an inner edge of the housing. A plurality of through-holes are provided in the rotating member at intervals along an outer circumference of the rotating member. When the rotating member rotates and any one of the plurality of through-holes and the depositing port communicate, the material stored in the housing is fed from the feeding port to the plasticizing mechanism through the depositing port.
Method and device for visualizing or evaluating a process state
A method for evaluating and/or visualizing a process state of a production system, which contains at least one cyclically operating shaping machine, includes: continuously or at discrete times, determining the value of a plurality of selected process variables, and comparing the current value of each selected process variable and or a variable derived therefrom with one or more reference values by means a computing unit, and determining a deviation or a rate of change. Each selected process variable is assigned to at least one logical group by the computing unit; at least two different logical groups are provided; and for each logical group, a state of the logical group is evaluated by the computing unit based on the process variables assigned to the logical group and/or is visualized by a display device.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A SHUTTER OF A PLASTIC MATERIAL INJECTION SYSTEM
The invention relates to a system for controlling a shutter (110) slidably arranged in a plastic material injection nozzle (11), comprising a rotary electric motor (M) and a mechanism adapted to couple said motor (M) to the shutter to slidably drive it between a closing position of the nozzle and a maximum opening position of the nozzle, characterised in that said mechanism comprises: an eccentric (21) integral with an output shaft (20) of the motor so as to be rotationally driven by said output shaft, comprising a crank pin (22) parallel to the output shaft but non-coaxial with said shaft (20), a slide (23) adapted to be made integral with one end of the shutter (110), and a connecting rod (25), a first end of which is articulated on the crank pin (22) of the eccentric (21) and a second end is articulated on an axis (25b) of the slide (23) such that the rotation of the eccentric causes sliding of the oscillating shutter between the closing position and the maximum opening position.
