An apparatus for forming a first component making up at least a part of a housing on a trimmer head and a method of using the apparatus. The housing has a rotary axis and is configured to support at least one radially projecting cutting component. The first component has a central axis. A forming unit defines at least one cavity within which a moldable material is confined to produce at least a part of a wall on the first component that extends around the rotary axis. The forming unit is configured to allow selective controlling of a quantity of a moldable material introduced into a first discrete subvolume at a first location in the one cavity to thereby allow selective controlling of a mass of a portion of the at least part of the wall formed by the moldable material in the one cavity at the first location to facilitate dynamic balancing of the housing, within which the first component is incorporated, with respect to the rotary axis.

There is provided an injection molding machine management system including an injection molding machine configured to mold a molded article with injection molding, a peripheral device configured to perform a post-process of the injection molding, and a control device communicably coupled to the injection molding machine and the peripheral device. The injection molding machine management system includes a generating section configured to generate a common identifier for each of predetermined production units and transmit the common identifier to the peripheral device. Molding data concerning the injection molding and post-process data concerning the post-process are correlated with the common identifier.

A method for monitoring a molding process carried out in cycles includes determining at least two nearest neighbors in the form of cycle data from at least two past cycles, such that the cycle data of the at least two nearest neighbors lie nearer to the current cycle data than the cycle data which do not pertain to the at least two nearest neighbors. Only those past cycles for which quality data are contained in the data collection are used for the determination of the at least two nearest neighbors. A predictability criterion is checked to determine whether a quality variation of the quality data of the cycles of the at least two nearest neighbors is smaller than a maximum variation and/or larger than a minimum variation. If the predictability criterion is not met, a first notification that a quality and/or a quality datum of the molded part is not reliably predictable is issued.
INJECTION MOULDING DEVICE FOR PRODUCING PARTS MADE OF PLASTIC
The invention relates to an injection molding device (1) for producing plastic parts (2) consisting of one or more material components. The injection molding device (1) comprises an injection mold (3) having a center part (5) that is rotatable about a first axis of rotation (4), which center part is arranged between a first and a second mold half and which can be moved relative to said mold halves in a first direction. The center part (5) has cavities (7) on the lateral surfaces (6). A retaining device (10) is used to retain the center part (5) in the injection molding device (1). A transfer device (16) is arranged laterally next to the center part (5) at least in an open position and is used to transfer plastic parts (2) into a storage means (2).
Production management system
A production management system includes: an injection molding unit producing a molded product; and a control device. The injection molding unit includes: an injection molding machine molding the molded product by injection molding; a determination unit determining whether a number of the molded products to be produced is equivalent to a predetermined unit of production or not; and an operation information transmitting unit transmitting operation information of the injection molding unit when it is determined that the number of the molded products to be produced is equivalent to the predetermined unit of production. The control device includes an operation information receiving unit receiving the operation information transmitted from the operation information transmitting unit.

An artificial intelligence-based injection molding system comprising a standard data extraction unit for extracting target standard data of a product produced by a mold from mold information about the mold to which a molding material is supplied; a molding condition output unit inputting the extracted target standard data into a pre-learned molding condition generation model to output a molding condition; an injection molding device, supplying the molding material to the mold according to the molding condition to produce the product; and a determination unit, comparing production standard data of the produced product and the target standard data to determine whether the molding condition is appropriate, wherein, if the determination unit determines that the molding condition is inappropriate, the molding condition output unit generates the production standard data and the molding condition as one set of feedback data, and trains the molding condition generation model with the set of feedback data.

An injection molding system includes a plurality of inspection apparatuses for inspecting molded article quality, a unit that transports a molded article molded by an injection molding machine, a molded article containment unit that is provided for each of types of post-treatment operations needed for the molded article, a transport destination designation unit that selects and designates the molded article containment unit to contain the molded article on the basis of a combination of inspection results from the plurality of inspection apparatuses, and a molded article sorting and transport unit that sorts and transports the molded article into the molded article containment unit designated by the transport destination designation unit.
