A molding condition setting device acquires data showing a state of an injection molding machine, calculates a feature showing the state of the injection molding machine on a basis of the acquired data, and calculates a feature fluctuation rate obtained by normalizing the feature on a basis of a reference value selected from among the features according to a prescribed condition. Meanwhile, the molding condition setting device acquires information relating to a change of the value of the operation command item and stores history of the change, and generates and stores history information in which the calculated feature fluctuation rate and the information relating to the change of the value of the operation command item are associated with each other.

INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS
An injection molding apparatus is described. It comprises a press equipped with a screw for generating molten material, and a signal generator for generating a control signal adapted for a plurality of directional valves so that they can regulate the movement of one or more actuators adapted for controlling the movement of one or more shutters which regulate a flow of molten material to the mold.
There is a signal converter connected between the press and the mold for converting the signal emitted by the generator into a signal adapted for activating one or more electric actuators, wherein the signal converter is external to the press and the mold.
Plasticizing device for a molding machine
A plasticizing device includes a plasticizing cylinder and a plasticizing screw arranged in the plasticizing cylinder. The plasticizing screw is rotatable about, and linearly movable along, a longitudinal axis. The plasticizing screw comprises a functioning section. A sensor is arranged in or on the plasticizing cylinder, and a distance to the surface of the functioning section of the plasticizing screw can be measured by the sensor. A detecting device can detect a type of the functioning section and/or an operating state of the functioning section, can detect a distance signal progression by a movement of the functioning section relative to the sensor, can compare the detected distance signal progression with a stored distance signal progression, and can issue a signal representing the type of functioning section and/or the operating state of the functioning section depending on a matching of the detected distance signal progression with a stored distance signal progression.
Plasticizing device for a molding machine
A plasticizing device includes a plasticizing cylinder and a plasticizing screw arranged in the plasticizing cylinder. The plasticizing screw is rotatable about, and linearly movable along, a longitudinal axis. The plasticizing screw comprises a functioning section. A sensor is arranged in or on the plasticizing cylinder, and a distance to the surface of the functioning section of the plasticizing screw can be measured by the sensor. There is provided a structure for positioning a first mold part of a mold on a mold mounting face in an injection molding machine. The structure comprises a positioner configured to connect the first mold part to part of the injection molding machine, wherein the positioner is adjustable to position the first mold part on the mold mounting face. The structure further comprises controller executable instructions executable in a controller with which to resolve an alignment parameter of the mold using a feedback signal from a sensor. Further provided is a method of operating an injection molding machine which method comprises the steps of positioning a first mold part of a mold on a mold mounting face using a positioner and appreciating an alignment parameter of the mold with reference to a feedback signal from a sensor.
Mold positioning device
There is provided a structure for positioning a first mold part of a mold on a mold mounting face in an injection molding machine. The structure comprises a positioner configured to connect the first mold part to part of the injection molding machine, wherein the positioner is adjustable to position the first mold part on the mold mounting face. The structure further comprises controller executable instructions executable in a controller with which to resolve an alignment parameter of the mold using a feedback signal from a sensor. Molding system having a mold stack with a cleaning configuration and a shut height adjustment mechanism
In an aspect, a mold stack may comprise two adjacent components, one at least partially defining a vent adjustable between a molding configuration and a cleaning configuration. A junction of the components may be adjustable between a molding configuration, wherein mating faces contact one another to define a parting line, and a cleaning configuration, wherein mating faces are separated to create a molding cavity extension therebetween and an auxiliary melt barrier prevents uncontrolled flashing from the extension.
Molding system having a mold stack with a cleaning configuration and a shut height adjustment mechanism
In an aspect, a mold stack may comprise two adjacent components, one at least partially defining a vent adjustable between a molding configuration and a cleaning configuration.
