Hybrid polymer container
10150264 · 2018-12-11 ·

The method for forming from a round shaped cylinder to a square shaped cylinder which can be inserted in a square or rectangular shape metal container (shipping container and frac tanks) includes initiating turning of a heated mandrel, extruding heated polymer, wrapping while compressing a first layer of heated polymer, disposing a mesh layer over the cylinder encapsulating the cylinder on the turning mandrel while simultaneously laying a second layer of heated polymer over the turning mandrel and compressing the layer of heated polymer into the mesh layer and the mesh layer into the first layer of heated polymer simultaneously, and repeating the layering of the heated polymer and mesh layer until a desired wall is reached. The method forms a hybrid polymer square or oval tank or a hybrid polymer round, which achieves over 95 percent of the total volume of the metal container.

Thin-Walled Elastic Products and Methods and Systems for Manufacturing Same

One method for creating barrier products (for example, condoms and gloves) includes: (a) dipping a former into a tank of elastic compound. The former has an indentation extending inwardly from an outer surface for creating a first protrusion on a first face of the barrier product. The method further includes: (b) removing the former from the tank of elastic compound, whereby some of the elastic compound removably adheres to the former and fills the indentation; (c) applying supplemental material to the elastic compound, whereby creating a second protrusion on a second face of the barrier product; and (d) fully drying the supplemental material. One barrier product includes an elastic wall having opposed faces, and first and second protrusions respectively extend from the opposed faces. The first and second protrusions are in cross-sectional alignment whereby rotational input forces on the first protrusion create rotational output forces on the second protrusion.

The runner protection tube for steel casting is made of a slurry composition for forming the runner protection tube for steel casting, the slurry composition includes organic fibers, inorganic fibers, thermosetting resins, thermoplastic resins, inorganic particles, inorganic binders, water, a lubricating oil and a hydrating agent.

Method for manufacturing a rubber hose

A method of making a rubber hose includes the steps of providing an inner rubber layer including a hollow part, and forming a first braided layer on the inner rubber layer by braiding a plurality of first yarn materials including a vinylon fiber made by a dry process such that the braided first yarn materials includes a braid formed in a three-over, three-under pattern. Next, a middle rubber layer is formed on the first braided layer. A second braided layer is then formed on the middle rubber layer by braiding a plurality of second yarn materials including a vinylon fiber made by a wet process such that the braided second yarn materials includes a braid formed in a two-over, two-under pattern. Finally, an outer rubber layer is formed on the second braided layer.

EXTRUSION WITH PREFERENTIAL BEND AXIS
20180169376 · 2018-06-21 ·

A catheter is made by coextruding first and second molten polymers, wherein the second molten polymer forms a flexible inner core and the first molten polymer forms exactly two bands on opposite sides of the inner core. The inner core is braided, and a third molten polymer extruded onto the braid to form a flexible jacket that encloses the braid, the bands and the inner core. The bands are more rigid than the inner core, and they provide preferential in-plane bending.
