Homogeneous Sheet Excluding Polyvinyl Chloride
Included is a homogeneous sheet, which excludes polyvinylchloride. The sheet includes a polyurethane, a synthetic rubber blend, and a filler. The synthetic rubber blend may include a pre-mix of a synthetic rubber and white oil.
Polypropylene composition for use in BOPP application, a process for preparing BOPP films and said BOPP film
The invention relates to a composition comprising: a) a propylene homopolymer or propylene-ethylene copolymer having an ethylene content of at most 1.5 wt % based on the weight of the propylene-ethylene copolymer, said a propylene homopolymer or propylene-ethylene copolymer having: i) a Mw/Mn in the range of 4.0 to 12, wherein Mw stands for the weight average molecular weight and Mn stands for the number average molecular weight and wherein Mw and Mn are measured according to ASTM D6474-12; ii) an XS in the range from 1.0 to 8.0 wt %, wherein XS stands for the amount of xylene solubles which are measured according to ASTM D 492-10; and iii) a melt flow rate in the range of 1 to 10 dg/minas measured according to ISO1133:2011(2.16 kg/230° C.); b) a first additive, being one or more tocopherols and/or one or more tocotrienols; and c) a second additive, being an organic acid scavenger. The invention moreover relates to a biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film comprising said composition, to a process for the preparation of a biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film and to the use of the composition for the preparation of an article, preferably a BOPP film.

Methods for generating interfacial surfaces and devices therefor
Embodiments of the present invention include a novel interfacial surface generator (ISG) design comprised of helical channels and associated methods of using the new design. The novel design addresses processing challenges associated with conventional ISG designs used in layer multiplying coextrusion systems. Embodiments of the present invention may be used in either a static configuration or “active” configuration. In one active configuration, two counter-rotating cylindrical rods and/or moving belts may be used to induce drag, or Couette, flow. Conveyance of materials through the ISG may be due to pressure driven flow, drag flow, or a combination of these.
ARTICLES, DIES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Pressure sensitive adhesive-coated articles comprising first and second layers each having first and second opposed major surfaces and between the first and second layers a series of first walls providing a series of microchannels, and methods for making the same. Embodiment of articles described herein are useful, for example, in cushioning applications where high levels of compression are desired.
HEAT-SHRINKABLE POLYESTER FILM AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
A heat-shrinkable polyester film includes at least one polyester material made of at least one polyester forming composition which includes a dibasic carboxylic mixture and a diol mixture. The heat-shrinkable polyester film has a heat shrinkage rate of not lower than 25% in a shrinkage direction, which is measured by immersing the heat-shrinkable polyester film in hot water at 65° C. for 10 seconds. A method for producing the heat-shrinkable polyester film is also disclosed.

FILMS AND SHEETS HAVING MICROLAYERS AND NANOLAYERS INCLUDING RECYCLED CONTENT
A polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating is formed as a multilayered structure having at least one A layer and at least one B layer. The polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating is able to include at least 30% recycled content resin while also exhibiting improved stiffness and strength relative to films with purely virgin polymers. One embodiment of the present invention further presents improved oxygen barrier properties relative to existing films, sheets, or extrusion coatings. Due to the strong structural properties, the polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating allows for the inclusion of recycled content into applications where recycled content has previously not been able to be included, such as flexible food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics packaging.
