EXTRUSION UNIT FOR FORMING PLASTIC PREFORMS, AND PROFILING TECHNIQUE
Methods, apparatuses, systems, and techniques relate to an extruder unit for producing preforms with a tube-like wall from a polymer melt and an associated extrusion process. The extruder unit has a receptacle for an exchangeable dispensing tool, it furthermore comprises at least two different and alternately usable profiling devices. These profiling devices have outlet-side fastening structures, which correspond in the various profiling devices and form the receptacle for the exchangeable dispensing tool, so that the profiling devices can be connected alternately to the same dispensing tool. In this way, any dispensing tool, depending on the wish of the customer, can be operated with different profiling devices, in particular, on the one hand, to carry out profiling by mandrel body movement or profiling by nozzle body movement.
EXTRUSION TECHNIQUE FOR FORMING POLYMER PREFORMS, AND TUBE-FORMING TECHNIQUE
Methods, apparatuses, systems, and techniques relate to a tube-forming device for an extruder unit or an extrusion device and a tube-forming process. The tube-forming device comprises at least one shaping sleeve, which is designed to shape a supplied stream of polymer melt from a substantially strand-like cross section into a tubular cross section. The shaping sleeve has a guiding passage embedded in the sleeve wall, such that the guiding passage is a cavity which lies within the sleeve wall and, in the radial direction of the shaping sleeve, is enclosed in a sealed manner with respect to the outer surfaces.
MULTIPLE EXTRUSION DIE HEAD
A multiple extrusion head for manufacturing parisons from thermoplastic material includes a stationary arranged base frame and a multiple of extrusion heads arranged on the base frame. Each of the extrusion heads has a material inlet, a ring die in fluid connection to the material inlet, an outer die element and an inner die element arranged coaxially to each other, an adjustment element displaceable along a longitudinal axis of the multiple extrusion head, and spring supports arranged between the base frame and the adjustment element. The spring supports are supported in a biased manner against the base frame and the adjustment element such that such that tilting moments between the extrusion heads is reduced.
Molding apparatus
A molding apparatus includes: a die; a core disposed at the inner side of the die; a slider housed in a die recess provided in the die; a rod having a leading end portion housed in a slider recess formed in a face of the slider, the leading end portion of the rod being unconnected with the slider; and a movement mechanism, the die including a wall portion that forms part of an inner wall of the die recess, and the slider recess having a shape that widens on progression toward an outer side in a radial direction of the die or that runs along a radial direction of the die.
Annular die and method for extrusion
The invention relates to an annular die on an extrusion head for producing tubular or sheet-like preforms with an arcuate die gap and with a melt channel delimited by a mandrel and a die body, the cross-sectional profile of the melt channel being variable by way of adjusting elements, the annular die according to the invention being distinguished by the fact that the outer circumference of the melt channel is at least partially delimited directly by at least one radially adjustable slide, that the slide is formed by a number of segments that can be adjusted together from at least one first position into at least one second position, and that the segments in each position form a respectively closed arc portion of the delimitation of the melt channel, the radius of the arc portion being different according to the position of the segments.
Barrier tube shoulders
Provided is a method for making barrier tube shoulders. The method includes forming a parison from a multi-layer laminated structure having an inner layer that faces an interior of the parison, an outer layer comprising an exterior surface of the parison, and an interdisposed layer between the inner layer and the outer layer, wherein the interdisposed layer is a flavor barrier layer. The method also includes providing an extrusion blow molding (EBM) mold comprising at least one cavity shaped as a barrier tube shoulder, positioning the parison in the EBM mold, and blow molding the parison such that the parison substantially conforms to the EBM mold to form a barrier tube shoulder having the barrier layer.
Parison guide
There is provided a parison guide which improves a flatness of parison with a simple configuration. A parison guide (1) guides a parison (P) which has an arc shape in horizontal cross section and is discharged from an extrusion apparatus (2). The parison guide is fixed to a discharge-side end portion of the extrusion apparatus (2). The parison guide includes a contact face (17) configured to come into contact with and guide an edge portion of the parison to flatten the parison. Preferably, the contact face (17) includes a curved surface, and the contact face (17) has a curvature of a horizontal cross section which gets smaller in a discharge direction.
MOLDING APPARATUS
A molding apparatus includes: a die provided with a die recessed portion; a core being relatively movable toward a first side and a second side in an axial direction of the die, and forming a flow passage for molten resin between the core and the die; a slider housed in the die recessed portion, having a gap in the die radial direction between the slider and the die recessed portion, the slider being slidable in the die axial direction; and a wall portion forming part of an inner wall in the die radial direction of the die recessed portion, positioned to oppose the core, and extending in such a way that a thickness of the wall portion gradually decreases heading from the first side toward the second side; wherein the wall portion is elastically flexible outward in the die radial direction in a case in which the wall portion is pushed by the molten resin.
VERTICALLY ADDED PROCESSING FOR BLOW MOLDING MACHINE
A vertical additive processing system for use with a blow molding machine having a flow head from which a plastic parison is delivered to a mold and producing an article. The system has a servo-controlled accumulation technology (SCAT) unit including (a) an accumulator collecting plastic material when retracted and delivering plastic material when extended, and (b) an actuator directing the accumulator to retract and extend. The system further has a tooling unit including a bushing body adapted to engage the flow head, a distribution ring, a bushing cap, a central aperture defining a main parison flow path, and a distribution channel delivering additional plastic material received from the accumulator to the main parison flow path. The system still further has a material duct connecting the two units through which plastic material delivered by the SCAT unit is transported to and received by the tooling unit.

Apparatus for producing molded. filled and sealed receptacle products made of plastics material, comprisinga hose head (32) for dispensing at least one hose extruded using an extrusion means, a separating means (12) for separating a preform from the hose, a main mold (24) for accommodating at least one preform in the context of molding thereof, a transfer means (14) for transferring the preform from the hose head (32) to a filling means (16) for filling via an opening of the preform, anda supplying means (20) for a sterilizing fluid which allows for flow around at least one filling needle (22) of the filling means (16), characterized in that a further supplying means (30) for sterilizing fluid which at least partially protects at least the opening of the preform in the region below the hose head (32) from contamination is present.
