ONE-PIECE TAG FOR IDENTIFYING AN ANIMAL
One-piece ear-tag for identifying an animal. The invention concerns a one-piece tag (1) for identifying an animal comprising: a head body (31), comprising a first straight channel starting from a back end of said head body (31) and adapted to receive an applicator pin (9), and a head insert (4), located at a front end of said head body (31), said head insert (4) comprising a pin end portion presenting an elliptic conical shape, adapted to pierce a portion of an animal's body.
Button and Applicator for Animal Identification Tags
Systems, methods, and devices directed to a button and corresponding applicator for an animal identification tag are provided. The applicator is employed to attach a button-tag assembly to the ear of an animal. The button includes a solid core embedded in the body of the button as well as a bladed edge at the tip of the core.
Calf Weaning Assembly
A calf weaning assembly includes a first ear tag that may be worn on an ear of a cow. The first ear tag is in electrical communication with cow's skin. Thus, the first ear tag selectively delivers an electric shock to the cow. A second ear tag may be worn on an ear of a calf. The second ear tag is in electrical communication with calf's skin. Thus, the second ear tag selectively delivers an electric shock to the calf. Each of the first ear tag and the second ear tag deliver the electric shock when the calf makes physical contact with the cow thereby inhibiting the calf from suckling on the cow. A remote unit is in electrical communication with each of the first ear tag and the second ear tag. The remote unit controls operational parameters of each of the first ear tag and the second ear tag.
Removable container for livestock tags
An animal health product container is described. The animal health product container is provided with a body, a bonding material and a pull tab. The body has a first face and a second face. The body is constructed of a weather resistant material impregnated with an animal health product compound. The bonding material attached to the first face of the body. The bonding material is configured to be weather resistant and allow the body to be removably attached to a tag body of an identification tag for an animal. The pull-tab is attached to the body, the pull tab devoid of the bonding material.
LIVESTOCK DISPLAY TAG
A livestock pasture display tag of a type used under harsh agricultural conditions, the tag comprising: (i) a thin, substantially, flat planar flexible display having a thickness, a front planar surface and a back planar surface, both surfaces are substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis positioned between surfaces; at least one of said surfaces is having a display section in which the livestock animal indicia is displayed; (ii) an anchoring section for fixedly securing the improved livestock pasture display tag to a body part surface of the livestock animal; and (iii) a permanent pressure sensitive encapsulation zone.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION
Methods and device for marking animals are disclosed. An ear tag configurable for attachment to a rodent ear, e.g., a mouse ear, is presented, wherein the ear tag includes a color-coded image, an alphanumeric character string, a bar code and/or a visual signage. The tag may include the visual identifier and an RFID device. A card may be provided that redundantly displays some or all of the visual identifier. An applicator is alternately or additionally provided that removes separated elements of the tag from a tray force generated by manual compression of a pair of handles of the applicator, and additionally includes jaws that compress towards each other when the handles are initially compressed, yet splay and release the tag elements as additional compressive force is applied to the handles.

BIOABSORBABLE TISSUE SUPPORT ADJUNCTIVE TO TISSUE PIERCING
A bioabsorbable tissue support is inserted into a tissue of a subject during, or after, puncture of the tissue. The bioabsorbable tissue support includes a material that is gradually absorbed into the punctured tissue in time, and disappears. The bioabsorbable tissue support may be inserted standing alone, or in association with a permanent or temporary non-bioabsorbable tissue support, may define the shape of the punctured hole, and/or may release useful or ornamental chemicals into the punctured tissue. The chemical may include an antibacterial material, an antifungal material, an antimicrobial material, topical anesthetic, a temporary or permanent dye material, and/or an antiproliferative agent. The non-bioabsorbable tissue support may include a self-expanding material that enlarges the size of the puncture in time. The bioabsorbable tissue support may have the form of a tube and/or a mesh of variable peripheral shapes, be elongated, and/or have attachable and detachable end plates and pointed tips.
Insecticide strip and combination with identification ear tag
An insecticide impregnated strip configured for convenient and reliable attachment to conventional animal ear tags. The insecticide strip comprises an elongated integrally molded member having a key-hole shaped aperture formed in an upper portion thereof, enabling the elongated strip to be pendularly suspended from the ear tag. Various methods are disclosed for attaching the strip to different types of known ear tags.
USE OF MALONONITRILE COMPOUNDS FOR PROTECTING ANIMALS FROM PARASITES
The present invention provides uses of aryl alkyl malononitrile compounds of formula (I), or veterinarily acceptable salts thereof, for controlling and preventing parasite infestations in animals. The invention also provides methods for controlling and preventing parasite infestation in animals comprising administering an effective amount of at least one aryl alkyl malononitrile compound of formulae (I), or a veterinarily acceptable salt thereof, to the animal.
