LIVESTOCK HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
An animal wellness notification system includes an attachment body configured to securely engage with an ear of the animal; an elongated temperature probe secured to the attachment body and configured to extend within the ear of the animal; a housing secured to the attachment body; a computer disposed within the housing and operably associated with the temperature probe; and a notification device in data communication with the computer, the notification device being configured to provide notice if a temperature of the animal goes beyond a determined threshold.
PHYSIOLOGICAL CONDITION DETERMINATION SYSTEM
A physiological condition determination system and method can include: attaching a tag to animal tissue; emitting light into the animal tissue; detecting a first optical signal; extracting a first measurement of peripheral capillary oxygen saturation from the first optical signal; qualifying the first measurement of peripheral capillary oxygen saturation as a baseline; detecting a second optical signal with the optical sensor; extracting a second measurement of peripheral capillary oxygen saturation from the second optical signal; qualifying the second measurement of peripheral capillary oxygen saturation; storing the second measurement of peripheral capillary oxygen saturation as a tag feature set; storing a history; determining animal distress based on the difference between the second measurement of peripheral capillary oxygen saturation and the baseline; and sending an instruction to the tag.
A METHOD TO PRINT DURABLE AND HIGH CONTRAST IDENTIFICATION CODES, INDICIA AND/OR FIGURES ON AN ANIMAL TAG
It is disclosed a method to print durable and high contrast identification codes, indicia and figures on an animal tag. The method is characterized by printing an ink on a polymeric substrate of the animal tag, the step of printing being executed with inkjet printing technique and the ink being a UV-curable ink including pigments, wherein the ink is UV cured after inkjet printing, to become integral part of the polymeric substrate.
Calf weaning assembly
A calf weaning assembly includes a first ear tag that may be worn on an ear of a cow. The first ear tag is in electrical communication with cow's skin. Thus, the first ear tag selectively delivers an electric shock to the cow. A second ear tag may be worn on an ear of a calf. The second ear tag is in electrical communication with calf's skin. Thus, the second ear tag selectively delivers an electric shock to the calf. Each of the first ear tag and the second ear tag deliver the electric shock when the calf makes physical contact with the cow thereby inhibiting the calf from suckling on the cow. A remote unit is in electrical communication with each of the first ear tag and the second ear tag. The remote unit controls operational parameters of each of the first ear tag and the second ear tag.
LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR LIVESTOCK
[Object] A livestock management system according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a stay determination unit.
The stay determination unit determines, on the basis of data regarding a plurality of individual identification signals transmitted from a transmission apparatus that is attached to a livestock animal and transmits the individual identification signal made corresponding to the livestock animal, whether or not the livestock animal is staying within a target region corresponding to the individual identification signal.
Animal tag attachment tool
An attachment tool for an animal tag is disclosed. The attachment tool includes a first tag interface that mates with a male portion of the animal tag, and a second tag interface that mates with a female portion of the animal tag. The first tag interface and the second tag interface dispose the male portion of the tag in an aligned and opposing relationship with the female portion of the tag while the male portion of the tag is mounted on the first tag interface and the female portion of the tag is mounted on the second tag interface. An arm extends adjacent the first tag interface to at least the second tag interface and the second tag interface is disposed on the arm. A guard extends outward proximate the first tag interface toward the second tag interface. A distal portion of the guard and an opposing structure of the arm proximate the second tag interface define a gap therebetween, the gap extending into a region between the first tag interface and the second tag interface. A drive moves the male portion of the animal tag disposed on the first tag interface towards the female portion of the tag disposed on the second tag interface to connect the male portion with the female portion.
Unit for marking and/or sampling animal tissue and corresponding marking and/or sampling tool
The invention relates to a unit for marking and/or sampling animal tissue, including a male portion (12) for marking and/or sampling tissue, and a female portion (13) for marking and/or receiving said tissue. According to the invention, such a unit includes an intermediate element (14) for connecting said male and female portions together, said intermediate connection element (14) having a first portion (141) for rigidly connecting to said male portion and a second portion (192) for rigidly connecting to said female portion, enabling said male and female portions to be supported along a single marking and/or sampling axis (AA1) before marking and/or sampling said animal tissue, wherein the intermediate connection element is releasable.
Member for holding an object in position on either side of an element provided with a bore
A holding member secures an object in position relative to an element having a bore. The object has a male part designed as a pointed rod, the free end of which is suitable for inserting in a reception housing provided in a female part of the holding member. The reception housing is provided, at its opening, with a conical member for guiding the male part into the reception housing. The holding member also includes a ring and seals inserted between the cylinder and a main body of the holding member.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING LIVESTOCK
A system and method for monitoring livestock, the system including a remote server storing data, the remote server including a processing unit for processing stored data and a non-volatile memory; at least one simple data collection device for mounting on an animal to be monitored, the data collection device including a sensor sensing physical parameters of the animal on which it is mounted, a simple data collection device processor with a non-volatile memory, and a transmitter for transmitting data collected by the sensor; at least one central data collection device including a mobile hub for mounting on an animal to be monitored, the central data collection device including: a central data collection device processor with a non-volatile memory; a receiver for receiving data transmitted by the simple data collection devices; a transceiver for communication with the remote server over a communication system; an energy source; the remote server being configured to analyze collected physical parameters and determine therefrom physical condition or behavior of the animal; and a network for two-way communication between the remote server and a remote electronic communication device and configured to provide real time information and warning alarms to the remote electronic communication device.
ANIMAL TAG
Tag apparatus for attachment to the ear of an animal including a male member with a stem and a penetrating head for penetrating the ear; a portion that abuts against the hack of the ear and cannot be pulled out of the ear, said portion having an end that is not directed towards the head of the animal when the apparatus is fitted to the ear; such that when the apparatus is fitted to the ear, the apparatus has no overhanging material on which the animal can entangle the tag apparatus on a structure.
