Harvester Header Support

A header support for supporting a header during road transport of an agricultural harvester. The header support has a header mounted to it in order to reduce a front axle load of the agricultural harvester. During harvesting, a support wheel of the header support is folded upwardly so it does not touch the ground during harvesting. The rotation axis of the support wheel extends in a substantially vertical plane during harvesting. This allows for a simple construction of the header support and reduces the vibration loads on the bearing of the support wheel during harvesting.

Draper canvas seal

A crop harvesting header with a cutter bar and a draper assembly has a draper which includes a front edge of the upper run of the draper arranged at a position adjacent to but spaced from the cutter bar and there is provided a sealing member extending along the cutter bar. The sealing member is includes a bracket and a strip of flexible material where the bracket does not include any rearwardly extending biasing portion and the strip, when free from loading forces, contains a distortion from a flat form so that the second edge portion is distorted from a plane of the first edge portion in a direction toward the edge portion of the upper run.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AN AGRICULTURAL BELT
20170359953 · 2017-12-21 ·

A belt monitoring system for an agricultural belt arrangement, the monitoring system including an agricultural belt having a magnetic element embedded therein and a sensor. The agricultural belt arrangement defines a proper belt alignment for the belt and moves the belt. The magnetic element is polarized so as to output a magnetic signal. The sensor is configured to detect, at a reference position, the magnetic signal outputted by the magnetic element. The monitoring system further includes a circuit configured to output a signal if, for example, the agricultural belt moves more than a predetermined amount through the agricultural belt arrangement without the sensor arrangement detecting the magnetic signal outputted by the magnetic element, a predetermined amount of time passes without the sensor detecting the magnetic signal, and the circuit determines the position of the magnetic element to be outside of a permissible positional range.

Header position sensing system for an agricultural harvester
09844184 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A system and method for determining the relative position of a header with respect to a chassis of a self-propelled agricultural harvester. Single or dual axis inclinometers are secured to the header and the chassis respectively and signals generated in combination with a stored relationship to header position are used to determine the header position, whether that be the pitch and/or the roll degrees of freedom.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING FILL-LEVELS IN CROP TRANSPORT RECEPTACLES USING SWITCH-BASED SENSORS
20230194325 · 2023-06-22 ·

In one aspect, a system for monitoring crop fill-levels of transport receptacles includes a crop transport receptacle defining a storage volume configured to receive harvested crops, and a plurality of switch-based fill-level sensors positioned within the storage volume of the crop transport receptacle. The fill-level sensors are arranged in a sensor array such that each fill-level sensor is spaced apart both vertically and horizontally relative to one or more other fill-level sensors of the plurality of fill-level sensors. In addition, the system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the plurality of fill-level sensors, with the computing system being configured to monitor a fill-level of the crop transport receptacle based on data derived from the plurality of fill-level sensors.

HARVESTERS, HARVESTING HEADERS, AND METHODS OF OPERATING AGRICULTURAL MACHINES USING CROP LIFTERS

A harvesting header includes a header frame, at least one cutting tool carried by the header frame, and at least one crop lifter extending forward of the cutting tool. The crop lifter is coupled to the header frame by a rotatable arm. At least one sensor coupled to the crop lifter is configured to measure an angle of the rotatable arm relative to the header frame. A crop-harvesting machine includes a chassis, a feederhouse, a processing system, a grain bin, a harvesting header, and a control system configured to adjust a position of the harvesting header based at least in part on the measured angle of the rotatable arm. A method of operating a crop-harvesting machine includes determining an angle of the rotatable arm of the crop lifter relative to the header frame and adjusting a height of the harvesting header based at least in part on the angle.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HARVESTING IMPLEMENT OPERATION OF AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER BASED ON TILT ACTUATOR FORCE
20230172107 · 2023-06-08 ·

A system for controlling harvesting implement operation of an agricultural harvester includes a fluid-driven actuator configured to adjust a position of a harvesting implement of the agricultural harvester relative to a feeder housing of the agricultural harvester. Additionally, the system includes a sensor provided in operative association with the fluid-driven actuator, with the sensor configured to capture data indicative of a parameter associated with a force acting on the fluid-driven actuator. Furthermore, the system includes a computing system configured to monitor the parameter relative to a predetermined minimum parameter value. Moreover, when the monitored parameter falls below the predetermined minimum parameter value, the computing system is configured to determine that the harvesting implement has contacted a field surface of a field across which the agricultural harvester is traveling.

Draper Head with a Center Draper Belt Frame

A draper head has a draper head frame and an attachment frame for connection to a feeder housing of a harvester. The draper head frame is connected to swing arms facing in working direction and having front ends movable vertically. The front ends of the swing arms are connected to a blade angle section provided with cutting elements. A center draper belt frame is pivotably arranged at the draper head frame and has a center draper belt disposed thereat.
