A method of correcting, in a composite component, an inappropriate countersink with an inappropriate maximum diameter and/or depth, the inappropriate countersink being provided in the composite component at a fixation opening having a first opening diameter, the method comprising at least the steps of: Preparing a repair patch; Arranging the repair patch on the composite component in an area surrounding the inappropriate countersink; Pressing the repair patch at least partly into the inappropriate countersink by means of an associated pressure tool; and Fixing the repair patch in the inappropriate countersink.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF CUSTOM OBJECT COMPLEMENTARY TO VEHICLE EXTERIOR SURFACE DEFECT
A method for repairing a defect in a vehicle exterior body surface is provided that includes a scan data set being generated that corresponds to the dimensional surface boundaries of the defect. A manufacturing data set is created for an object at least in part complementary to the defect from the scan data. The object is formed from the manufacturing data set with a layered manufacturing device. The object is joined to the defect to repair the vehicle exterior body surface. An object is also provided formed of a thermoplastic or a UV cured polymer with a shape that is at least at least in part complementary to a defect vehicle exterior body surface. The object having a void therein with the shape configured to receive an insert or a fastener therein.
Method for locating machining position in repair material, and repairing method
The present invention provides a method for locating a machining position in a repair material that is arranged on a member including a machined portion formed by predetermined machining, the method including: a step of arranging a marker including a portion having a different propagation characteristic of an ultrasonic wave from that of a peripheral portion in the machined portion existing in the member before the repair material is arranged on the member; and a step of applying the ultrasonic wave to the member covered with the repair material and locating the machining position at a position of the marker captured by the ultrasonic wave after the repair material is arranged on the member.
