The control unit (31) has a power module for connecting the motor (21) to a power supply (19), and a separate signal input which is electrically connected to the trigger member (26). The power module connects the motor (21) to the power supply (19) when the corresponding control signal is present at this signal input. A method for controlling such an extrusion device (11) is also provided.
APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
A three-dimensional (3D) printer is disclosed. The 3D printer can print viscous material such as plastisol, polymer clay, melted sugar and melted chocolate. The 3D printer utilizes an extruder that can prevent dripping of viscous material from a nozzle. The 3D printer includes a control circuit for controlling the movement of the extruder and the air flow within a pneumatic system.
PRODUCING A PROFILE STRAND
In order to achieve high product quality and process reliability in a process for manufacturing an endless profile strand of soft plastic and/or rubber material fed to a supply storage for a sealing profile, edge protection profile or the like on a motor vehicle, it is provided that the manufacturing process be divided into two process sections which are carried out on two manufacturing lines that can be operated independently of one another.
Rubber extrusion device and method for manufacturing rubber extrudate
A rubber extrusion device includes a sensor which detects a deviation from a preset reference position of a rubber extrudate extruded from an extrusion port. Based on this detection data, a control unit provides control for correction of the deviation by adjusting a position of a die relative to a head along a leading end surface of the head or a rotational speed of a screw. A rubber material is mixed and kneaded while being extruded forward by a screw installed inside a cylinder. Resultant unvulcanized rubber is fed into an extrusion flow path and extruded from the extrusion port formed in the die.
Systems, Methods, and Media for Manufacturing Processes
A manufacturing system is disclosed herein. The manufacturing system includes one or more stations, a monitoring platform, and a computing system. The computing system receives an image of the product at a step of the multi-step manufacturing process. The computing system determines a current state of the product based on the image of the product. The computing system determines, via a deep learning model, that the product is not within specification based on the current state of the product and the image of the product. Based on the determining, the computing system adjusts a control logic for at least a following station. The adjusting includes generating, by the deep learning model, a corrective action to be performed by the following station.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING BELT-LIKE RUBBER MEMBER
A method for forming a belt-like rubber sheet S by extruding rubber on a drum outer peripheral surface 3a by an extruder 2 includes: a front end forming step for forming a front end S1 having a wedge-shaped cross section; an intermediate part forming step for forming an intermediate part S2 having a desired thickness; and a rear end forming step for forming a rear end S3 having a wedge-shaped cross section by gradually decreasing an extrusion amount of the rubber to zero from a predetermined extrusion amount in a predetermined time, gradually decreasing the rotational speed of the drum outer peripheral surface 3a to zero from a predetermined rotational speed in the predetermined time, and gradually decreasing a distance from the drum outer peripheral surface 3a to a die 21 to an extrusion end distance from a predetermined distance in the predetermined time.
Blown film coextrusion line with polygonal extruder arrangement
A blown film coextrusion line includes a support frame, a plurality of extruders each mounted to the support frame and extending upward at an angle, and a downward facing blown film coextrusion die connected to distal ends of each of the plurality of extruders and receiving individual polymer streams from them. The blown film coextrusion line is compact and sturdy and eliminates much of the floor space and towered mounting structure that was required for conventional blown film coextrusion lines. A corresponding method of making a multilayer coextruded blown film is also provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAPPING THE LIP ADJUSTMENT BOLTS OF A FLAT EXTRUSION DIE
A method to control die bolts of a flat extrusion die that calibrates a zero-line calibration thickness profile, measures a variation in thickness of a film/sheet 214 by temperature change of at least one lip adjustment bolt 206a, ..., 206n by a processor 122 and records a corresponding die bolt influence area. It further calculates a voltage correction factor of the at least one lip adjustment bolt 206a, ..., 206n based on the die bolt influence area using the measured variation in thickness at the at least one lip adjustment bolt position 206ap, ..., 206np and a variation in thickness at a mean lip adjustment bolt position 206ap, ..., 206np and actuates the at least one lip adjustment bolt 206a, ..., 206n by applying the voltage correction factor and correcting the variation in thickness of the film/sheet 214 to the zero-line calibration thickness.
Method and system for regulating an extrusion process
There is described a method and system for regulating an extrusion process by obtaining a first thickness at a first position along an extrudate as material is extruded through a die gap of a die; comparing the first thickness with an expected thickness of the extrudate at the first position to obtain a value for an error, the expected thickness modeled in real-time using a size of the die gap as input; and varying the size of the die gap when the error exceeds a threshold to compensate for the error. There is also described a method and system for determining an expected thickness of a material during an extrusion process.
