Process and apparatus for assembling types
In an assembly station, a carcass sleeve and an outer sleeve manufactured along respective building lines are mutually coupled. Integrated into the assembly station are engagement devices that can be alternatively-coupled to an auxiliary drum carrying an outer sleeve and to a building drum carrying a carcass sleeve. The building drum is engaged on the assembly station before removal of the auxiliary drum. A grip unit picks up the outer sleeve from the auxiliary drum associated with the engagement devices in order to position it around the carcass sleeve carried by the building drum.

Method, process and plant for controlling the manufacture of tyres for vehicle wheels
In building tyres, an intermediate portion of a carcass structure is built at a time on a respective forming drum within an intermediate forming line. The forming drum with the intermediate portion of the carcass structure is made available at a first transfer location. The intermediate portion of the carcass structure is completed through n completion locations with n1 and then transferred for the subsequent assembling with a crown structure to a second transfer location. At an operating moment in which the first transfer location is occupied by a forming drum coming from the intermediate forming line or intended for the intermediate forming line, from one to n locations selected from the n completion locations and the second transfer location are occupied by respective forming drums.

PROCESS AND PLANT FOR BUILDING TYRES
A carcass sleeve including a carcass ply and a pair of annular anchoring structures is fitted around a toroidal forming drum arranged in a first radially contracted operational condition. The carcass sleeve is toroidally shaped against a radially inner surface of an annular contrast element. The forming drum is positioned inside the carcass sleeve and is concurrently expanded towards a second operational condition. Upon reaching the second operational condition, the toroidally shaped carcass sleeve is coupled to the forming drum. The forming drum, coupled to the carcass sleeve, is adapted to be transferred in proximity of an application device of additional components externally to the carcass sleeve.
Tire member-forming apparatus
The present invention glues a rubber strip on the surface of a non-right circular cylindrical winding body with good precision. The present invention reduces the space occupied by the apparatus. The tire member-forming apparatus is provided with a transport conveyor with a conveyor belt that is guided by guide rollers so that the conveyor belt is able to circle. The conveyor surface of the conveyor belt is provided with a conveyor surface width center line that extends in a straight line over the entire length thereof. The guide rollers are grouped into guide rollers on the front side of the conveyor direction and guide rollers on the back side of the conveyor direction. The front guide rollers are held so as to be capable of tilting around the conveyor surface width center line. As a result, on the conveyor surface, a twistable twisting conveyor surface section is formed between a front conveyor surface section, which is supported by the front guide rollers, and a back conveyor surface section, which is supported by the back guide rollers.

Method for producing a pneumatic vehicle tire
A method for making a vehicle tire wherein the vehicle tire includes a belt having at least one belt layer made of parallel steel cords embedded in rubber. The belt ply is built up on a building drum in order to produce a tire blank. Upon completion of the tire blank, the tire blank is shaped and vulcanized in a vulcanizing press. The method includes applying the belt ply made of parallel, extensible steel cords embedded in rubber to a building drum to build up the belt. After the tire blank is completed, the tire blank is shaped and vulcanized in a vulcanizing press to reduce the extensibility of the steel cords.
