Artificial turf system

An artificial turf system comprises a resilient layer, an artificial grass layer comprising a substrate and pile fibers upstanding from the substrate and an infill layer. The infill layer comprises smooth, hard granules having a mean size of between 1.8 mm and 10 mm disposed on the substrate and interspersed between the pile fibers. The smooth, hard granules provide improved characteristics in terms of foot release.

An optical component is configured to optically connect a light-emitting element and an optical fiber, and includes an optical surface arranged in a middle of an optical path of a light to be emitted from the light-emitting element to the optical fiber to reflect the light. The optical surface includes an optical path area configured to reflect the light and a non-optical path area other than the optical path area, and the optical path area and the non-optical path area are coplanar. The optical path area has a smooth surface, and at least a part of the non-optical path area has a rough surface which is rougher than the optical path area.

METHOD FOR POLISHING POLYAMIDE OBJECTS OBTAINED BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OR 3D PRINTING TECHNIQUES

The present invention refers to a method for polishing polyamide objects obtained by additive manufacturing or 3D printing techniques, which comprises immersion of the polyamide object in a mixture of formic acid and dichloromethane at room temperature for a period of time comprised between 5 seconds and 6 minutes. This method allows effectively elimination or reduction of the roughness of the polyamide objects obtained by additive manufacturing or 3D printing techniques, for example, obtained by techniques such as the Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) with a simple procedure which does not require neither high temperatures nor extended treatment times. The present invention also refers to the object obtainable according to such method.

Breath actuated inhaler

A breath actuated metered dose inhaler may include a canister fire system configured to fire a medicament containing canister in response to patient inhalation. The canister fire system may include a pneumatic force holding unit and having a rest configuration in which a metering valve of the canister is in a refill configuration; a prepared configuration in which a canister actuation force is retained by the pneumatic force holding unit and the canister fire system is actuatable by patient inhalation induced airflow; and a fire configuration in which the metering valve is in a dose delivery position. When in the prepared configuration, the force retained by the so pneumatic force holding unit may be reduced by less than about 6% over a period of 5 minutes, preferably less than about 3% over a period of 5 minutes.

FRICTION-REDUCING AND ANTI-WEAR COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR WADING KINEMATIC PAIR AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR

Disclosed is a friction-reducing and anti-wear composite material for a wading kinematic pair and a method of preparing the same. The friction-reducing and anti-wear composite material is prepared from carbon fiber (CF) among inorganic fillers, polyimide (PI) and polyether ether ketone (PEEK). These three materials are wet-mixed, dried and placed in a mold followed by curing by a heat press. The cured product is cooled and demolded to obtain the CF/PI/PEEK friction-reducing and anti-wear composite material for a wading kinematic pair. Tribological properties of the PEEK material are enhanced due to synergistic effect arising from hybrid organic-inorganic filling. The friction-reducing and anti-wear composite material provided in the invention has significantly reduced friction coefficient and wear volume loss under the seawater environment.

INTEGRATED DEPTH SENSOR WINDOW LENS AND METHOD

A method of making an integrated depth sensor window lens, such as for an augmented reality (AR) head set, the depth sensor window lens comprising a sensor lens and an illuminator lens separated by an opaque dam. The method uses a two-shot injection molding process, a first shot comprising an optically clear polymeric material to form the sensor lens and the illuminator lens and the second shot comprising an opaque polymeric material to form the separator of the two.
