AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTABLE DEVICE FOR AFFIXING TO THE NOSE OF ANIMALS
The invention relates to an automatically adjustable device for affixing to the nose of animals, which may be used simultaneously for administering medicinal or non-medicinal substances and/or for collecting and transmitting information about the animal by means of onboard sensors, the device being composed of a flexible support body and a pair of adjustable members that are connected by a system of swivel joints, allowing the articulation of the members in all directions. The system of swivel joints enables the adjustable members to automatically adjust to the wall of the nasal septum of each animal, which affords greater comfort and offers a larger area of contact between the face of the adjustable members of the device and the nasal mucous membrane of the animal.
Remotely controlled tournament steer
The present invention is a motor driven tournament steer that comprises a front frame and a back frame. The front frame incorporates a steer head with protruding horns suitable for roping. The rear frame incorporates roping legs and is hinged to the front frame. When two ropers catch the steer head and legs, the heeler roper lifts the rear frame, a switch is activated, and the motor stops. A timer simultaneously stops. The motor is started by a remote controlled switch.
Lariat device and method of manufacture
Methods and systems for ropes used to catch livestock such as a cattle roping lariat. In one embodiment, the lariat includes a set of strands, each strand including a set of yarns surrounding a central core. The set of strands are twisted to form a twisted rope. The lariat is manufactured using a set of components including a head box, a tree-cross box with a branched strand tree device and a cross device, and a tail box.

Electronic latching device
An electronic latching device having a solenoid, latch, locking piece, and a pivot arm. One end of the pivot arm is connected to the solenoid actuator and the other end is connected to the locking piece. Upon electronic activation, the solenoid actuator moves in a lateral direction, which causes the end of the pivot arm connected to the actuator to move in the same direction. This movement causes the pivot arm to pivot about the pivot point, resulting in the movement of the opposite end of the pivot arm to move in a second and opposite direction. This movement of the second end of the pivot arm in the second direction causes the locking piece to move in the same second direction, unlocking the device and allowing for the latch to freely move to an open position.
Multi-functional roping sled for header and heeler team roping practice
A heading and heeling roping practice sled apparatus having a heeling practice sled and a heading practice dummy, where the heeling sled has a single mainframe bar, a tow arm with an open-faced front tow hook as well as a closed or closeable ring for towing, a wheel assembly attached to the tow arm below the horns of the heading practice dummy, support legs configured to provide support for the mainframe and dummy, dummy mounting brackets attached to the support legs, securing straps and a quick release latch attached to the dummy mounting brackets, the dummy having a flanged base for securing the dummy to the sled within the dummy brackets, and a roping leg apparatus attached to the rear of the mainframe. The roping leg apparatus has a hip assembly with a coupling attached thereto which are non-linear axles, and hinges positioned about the axles to which roping legs are mounted.
Equine twitch
A clip-style equine twitch device comprising a clip head and in-line tether holes, each threaded with a section of rope or cord to form an adjustable loop that can be applied to the horse and then securely clipped to an anchor point, and a method of use thereof.
NOSE RING FOR RUMINANTS
The present invention relates to a nose ring for ruminants such as cattle, comprising a ring body (1) having an extra-nasal part (2) and intra-nasal parts (3) extending on either side of this extra-nasal part (2), each of these intra-nasal parts (3) carrying a plate (4, 5) intended to bear against the nasal septum separating the nasal cavities of a ruminant, said bearing plates (4, 5) thus being placed at the ends of said nose ring. According to the invention, each bearing plate has an elongate shape and comprises opposite ends, at least one of which is wider than the central region thereof placed between said two ends, each plate being convex and having a front face intended to come into contact with the nasal wall of the animal, the surface area of which front face is at least equal to 500 mm.sup.2 and preferably at least equal to 1500 mm.sup.2, and even more preferably at least equal to 2000 mm.sup.2, each bearing plate thus being capable of maximising the contact surface with the nasal septum for different nasal morphologies in order to ensure that this ring is retained without injuring the animal.
Lobster tether and method of tethering a lobster
A lobster tether has a strap configured for coupling a lobster to a handle configured on a handle extension that enables easier retrieval of a lobster from a tank. The handle extension is rigid and free-standing thereby placing the handle proximal to or above the water level in a tank. A lobster tether may be made out of a material that floats, such a plastic and may be a material that is food safe and can withstand cooking temperatures, such as boiling water. In addition, a lobster tether may be a monolithic part, made from a single piece of material, such as by injection molding. The strap has teeth that engage with latch teeth to secure the strap around a lobster or other shellfish.
