20190160776 · 2019-05-30 ·

Processes, assemblies, and sleeve blanks for forming a two-piece paper container are provided in which the sleeve blank includes an adhesive printed onto the sleeve blank while the sleeve blank is still part of the paper web. The adhesive can optionally be printed onto the sleeve blank in-line with printing a graphic on the sleeve blank prior to providing the sleeve blank to a container forming machine that wraps and seals the sleeve blank to a bottom blank.

CELLULOSE PRODUCT TOGGLE PRESSING MODULE AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

A product forming unit for manufacturing non-flat cellulose products from an air-formed cellulose blank structure (2). The product forming unit includes a blank dry-forming module with a moveable forming wire, a toggle pressing module with a toggle press and a forming mold, and an electronic control system operatively connected to the forming wire and the toggle press. The blank dry-forming module is configured for air-forming the cellulose blank structure onto the forming wire. The toggle press includes a pressing member movably arranged in a pressing direction, a toggle-mechanism drivingly connected to the pressing member, and a pressing actuator arrangement drivingly connected to the toggle-mechanism. The forming mold includes a moveable first mold part attached to the pressing member and a second mold part. The electronic control system is configured for controlling operation of the pressing actuator arrangement for performing pressing operations, which involves driving the pressing member in the pressing direction by the toggle-mechanism, and thereby forming the non-flat cellulose product from the air-formed cellulose blank structure by pressing the first mold part against the second mold part. The electronic control system is configured for intermittently feeding the forming wire between subsequent pressing operations.

METHOD FOR DRY-FORMING CELLULOSE PRODUCTS FROM A CELLULOSE BLANK STRUCTURE IN A PRODUCT FORMING UNIT AND A PRODUCT FORMING UNIT

Method for dry-forming cellulose products from a cellulose blank structure in a product forming unit. The product forming unit includes a blank dry-forming module and a pressing module. The cellulose blank structure is air-formed in the blank dry-forming module onto a forming wire. The pressing module includes one or more forming molds for forming the cellulose products from the cellulose blank structure in a pressing operation. The method includes arranging the forming wire in a stationary mode during the pressing operation.

AUTOMATIC HEAT-INSULATING MATERIAL REPLACEMENT DEVICE
20190143625 · 2019-05-16 ·

An automatic heat-insulating material replacement device includes a heat-insulating material replacement rack and a cutter. The replacement rack is rotatably connected to a supporting frame and is pivotally provided with a first and a second reel, which are wound with a first and a second heat-insulating material respectively. The first heat-insulating material has one end to be transported and coated to a substrate. When the first heat-insulating material is almost used up, the replacement rack is rotated to bond the second heat-insulating material to the first heat-insulating material adhesively, allowing the latter to be driven by the former and to be coated to the corresponding substrate. The cutter severs the first heat-insulating material at a position between the opposite end of the first heat-insulating material and the adhesively bonded area of the two heat-insulating materials so that the remaining first heat-insulating material on the first reel can be replaced.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PAPERBOARD CUP COATED WITH BIODEGRADABLE VARNISH AND CUP MANUFACTURED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
20190084264 · 2019-03-21 ·

A method is proposed for manufacturing a cup intended for containing a food beverage. The method includes cutting out at least one sheet of coated paperboard to form a side wall and a bottom and joining the sheets thus cut out by heat-sealing to form the cup. The at least one paperboard sheet is coated on at least the interior side of the cup with a biodegradable varnish according to a coating/spreading technique. In this way, the cup is easy to manufacture, and complies with environmental standards in being easy to recycle and compost, even at home. Thus, the biodegradable varnish does not disturb or pollute the operation of the pulper used in the paper industry.

Laminated moisture resistant poultry box and process

A moisture resistant poultry box having a composite structure with a fluted paper medium, a top backing board assembly secured to one side of the fluted medium and a bottom backing board assembly secured to the other side of the fluted medium. The backing board assemblies and the fluted medium are impregnated with a hydrogenated triglyceride, and each backing board assembly has PET film glued thereto covering an outside surface to provide moisture resistant recyclable poultry box so that it has a Cobb value ranging between about 0 to about 1.

Recyclable Container Blank and Method of Forming a Shipping Pack Having Articles Secured Therein

A container blank (1) of the RSC type having a material web (2) attached thereto to retain an article within a container formed from the blank (1). The web material (2) is selected from one or more materials having substantially identical recycling characteristics to the material from which the blank (1) is formed. The web material is coated in a cohesive film and can be stacked and handled without tack.

A coated box with anti-stain coating on portions of exterior surfaces of the coated box, which also has uncoated exterior surfaces to which a water-based adhesive is applied to adhere to portions of an interior facing surface to form a box shape that includes folds at creases at scored lines.

CARDBOARD WITH EDGE SEALED WITH MIXTURE OF HOT-MELT ADHESIVE AND WAX
20180207895 · 2018-07-26 ·

Cardboard with edges sealed by a mixture of hot-melt adhesive and wax includes two surface sheets and an intermediate core material. The surface sheets have a pair of corresponding edges that form an edge opening therebetween communicating with the interstitial spaces in the cardboard and sealed by an edge-sealing structure in the interstitial spaces. The edge-sealing structure includes a primer layer formed by an adhesive mixture and a sealing layer formed by a sealing mixture. The adhesive mixture is made by mixing the hot-melt adhesive with the wax, adhesively bonds the surface sheets and the intermediate core material together, and forms the primer layer with voids and providing a porous supporting surface to be coated with the sealing mixture. The sealing mixture is less adhesive than the adhesive mixture and fills up the voids in the primer layer. Thus, the cardboard achieves waterproofness and thermal and acoustic insulation at low cost.

CONTAINERS, METHODS OF MAKING, AND BLANKS THEREFOR

Containers for use as commercial and household (domestic) storage and/or shipping units methods of making the containers, and blanks therefor. The containers include a base panel and sidewall panels formed by folding a single blank to define a cavity within the container and a top edge of the container. The base panel and sidewall panels are formed from the blank such that material of the blank is continuous at edge corners of the container between adjacent panels of the base panel and sidewall panels from lower corners of the container at the base panel to the top edge of the container. The base panel, sidewall panels, and the edge and lower corners of the container are watertight.
