Automatic machine for providing corrugated sheet-like elements and vane for said machine
An automatic machine for providing corrugated sheet-like elements includes elements for the continuous corrugation of a ribbon which moves in a longitudinal direction. The corrugation elements include an upper conveyor and a lower conveyor. The upper conveyor includes a plurality of upper abutment elements extended substantially transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of motion of the ribbon. The lower conveyor includes a plurality of lower abutment elements extended substantially transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of motion of the ribbon. The upper abutment elements are interleaved with the lower abutment elements in a work area. The upper abutment elements each include a bar adapted to make contact with the ribbon, while the lower abutment elements each include a vane, which has a substantially wedge-like transverse cross-section and is adapted to receive the ribbon in order to deform it.
Automatic machine for providing corrugated sheet-like elements
An automatic machine for providing corrugated sheet-like elements having a component for the continuous corrugation of a ribbon in motion in a longitudinal direction. The corrugation component includes an upper conveyor and a lower conveyor. The upper conveyor includes a plurality of upper abutment elements that are extended substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction of motion of the ribbon. The lower conveyor includes a plurality of lower abutment elements that are extended substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction of motion of the ribbon. The upper abutment elements are intercalated between the lower abutment elements in a work area. The upper abutment elements each comprise include a flap, which has, in the end adapted to make contact with the ribbon, at least one portion that has a grip component.
DEVICE HAVING A FEED ROLL AND A SELF-ADHESIVE FASTENER, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD AND MACHINE
A drive device has at least one drive cylinder having an outer surface and at least one cover strip having an inner face and an outer face. The inner face of the cover strip is wound around at least a portion of the outer surface of the drive cylinder. The cover strip is fastened around the drive cylinder by a self-adhesive fastener.

Method of folding pant-like disposable absorbent garments in a chute
A method of folding a pant-like disposable absorbent garment includes providing a garment defining first and second waist side regions, a waist center region positioned therebetween, and a crotch region longitudinally below the waist center region. In particular embodiments, the method further includes folding the garment along a transversely extending fold line so as to bring the crotch region into superposed relation with the waist center region; providing a chute having a floor and first and second side walls; urging the garment into the chute; and, while the garment is in the chute, folding the garment along longitudinally extending first and second fold lines so as to position the first and second waist side regions over the waist center region. The first and second fold lines are adjacent the first and second side walls, respectively.

Packing unit and method for folding a blank on a packing machine
A packing unit and method for folding a blank on a packing machine; the packing unit having: a packing conveyor having at least one pocket for receiving the blank; and a feed device for inserting the blank into the pocket on the packing conveyor; the packing conveyor has at least a first conveyor belt defining a bottom wall, of the pocket; at least a second conveyor belt separate from, parallel to, and alongside the first conveyor belt, and defining the bottom wall of the pocket together with the first conveyor belt; a first retaining member, which projects perpendicularly from the first conveyor belt and defines a front wall of the pocket; and a second retaining member, which projects perpendicularly from the second conveyor belt and defines a rear wall of the pocket.
Drum Lagging Material
Disclosed are lagging materials for use on a driven cylindrical pulley or drum for an industrial machine. A lagging material can comprise a seaming element along the cross-machine direction (CD) of each of the opposing ends of the lagging material for forming a seam for seaming opposing ends of a lagging material when brought together. A lagging material can also comprise coatings that increase the Coefficient of Friction of a lagging material when the lagging material is installed onto the drum such that no additional adhesive is required to keep the lagging on the drum circumference when in operation. Also described is an apparatus for installing an on machine seamable lagging including at least two opposed elongate members, such that when the elongate members are drawn together, the lagging material is stretched into a seamable position to be installed on the drum.
