LAMINATED LIGHT-BLOCKING DECORATIVE ARTICLES
Laminated light-blocking decorative articles are prepared by applying an aqueous foamed opacifying composition to a non-woven fabric, drying, laminating a decorative fabric to the resulting dry foamed opacifying layer, and densifying that layer to have a thickness that is at least 20% less than before densifying. This operation can be carried out so that non-woven fabric, decorative fabric, and aqueous foamed opacifying composition are supplied in a single-pass, in-line operation to make any desired quantity of a laminated light-blocking decorative article. The applied aqueous foamed opacifying composition has 35%-70% solids and a foam density of 0.1-0.5 g/cm.sup.3. It is composed of (a) porous particles, (b) a binder material, (c) two or more additives comprising at least one foaming surfactant and at least one foam stabilizer, (d) an aqueous medium, and (e) at least 0.0001 weight % of an opacifying colorant that absorbs electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of 380-800 nm.
Shielding device for shading and rain protection purposes
A shielding device for shielding against weather influences that includes a textile sheet material which is stretched two-dimensionally or can be rolled out and which forms a shield against weather influences, in particular, against solar radiation and/or rain. The textile material has warp threads and weft threads connected together in a lattice-like manner so as to form a fabric. A foam layer which has foam pores that are separated from one another by solid foam walls is applied onto the textile sheet material on at least one side of the textile sheet material.
Durable glass for vehicle
A multilayer glass stack for a vehicle windshield with improved durability is described. The multilayer glass stack includes an external-facing glass layer, an internal-facing glass layer, and an adhesive interlayer positioned between the external-facing and internal-facing glass layers. The external-facing glass layer may include borosilicate and/or does not include soda lime glass. Methods of manufacturing the multilayer glass stack are also described.
Multi-layered composite structures and methods for the preparation thereof
The present invention relates to multi-layered composite structures and to methods for the preparation thereof. The present multi-layered composite structures are light weight and capable of high load bearing making the present multi-layered composite structures especially suitable to be used as load bearing structures in, for example, automotive. Specifically, the present invention relates to methods comprising the steps of a) providing a mould for said multi-layered composite structure; b) layering said mould with two or more layers forming the outer surface of said multi-layered composite; c) filling said layered mould with a mixture comprised of non-expanded heat-expandable microspheres and closing said mould; and d) subjecting said closed mould to a temperature of 80° C. to 140° C. during 1 to 230 minutes thereby providing a relative pressure in said closed mould of 0.1 to 20 bar through expansion of said heat-expandable microspheres thereby forming a multi-layered composite structure in said mould with a foam enforced inner core and a multi-layered outer surface; and e) separating the multi-layered composite structure from said mould.
Milliwave band radio wave absorption sheet and milliwave radio wave absorption method
Provided is a light weight and remarkably flexible sheet-shaped radio wave absorber having excellent radio wave absorbing capacity in milliwave band frequencies. The invention is a milliwave band radio wave absorption sheet comprising a radio wave reflection layer (A), a radio wave absorption layer (B) disposed above the layer (A) so as to be parallel thereto, and a protective layer (C) disposed above the layer (B) so as to be parallel thereto. The layer (B) has, at a frequency of 79 GHz, a dielectric constant, wherein the real part is 10 to 20 and the absolute value of the imaginary part is 4 to 10. The layer (B) has a film thickness of 200 to 400 μm. The absolute value of the imaginary part/real part from the dielectric constant is within a range of 0.30 to 0.60. The layer (C) has, at a frequency of 79 GHz, a dielectric constant, wherein the real part is 1.5 to 8.0 and the absolute value of the imaginary part is less than 1.0, and has a film thickness of 50 to 200 μm. In the milliwave band radio wave absorption sheet, the optical reflectance at an incident angle of 60° is 50% or greater, and the optical reflectance at an incident angle of 20° is 25% or greater. In addition, the invention provides a milliwave band radio wave absorption method using the radio wave absorption sheet, and a radio wave damage prevention method involving the installation of the radio wave absorption sheet.

Various embodiments disclosed relate to a composite shingle. The composite shingle includes a particle layer and a polyketone layer proximate to the particle layer.
MULTI-LAYERED MULTI-SPECTRAL TARGET FOR RIFLES
A multi-layered, multi-spectral target for rifles. The multi-layered target comprises a first layer printed rifle target having at least one target position on a first surface and a light reflective film surmounted on a second surface of the first layer printed rifle target. There is a cutout silhouette layer surmounted on the light-reflective film wherein the light reflective film shows through the cutout silhouette.
Patterned inflatable membranes
Inflatable membranes may include a pattern layer, a fluorescent layer, and a window, the pattern layer comprising an inner surface and an outer surface, the pattern layer comprising a pattern on the inner surface of the pattern layer, and at least a portion of the pattern layer formed by a transferrable material transferred from a casting plate to the inner surface. The fluorescent layer may include an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface of the fluorescent layer abutting the outer surface of the pattern layer and comprising a fluorescent material which, upon receiving of light, causes the fluorescent material to emit fluorescent light and causing the pattern to be detectable by a detector. The window may include a transparent material that spans an aperture formed in a distal end of the inflatable membrane.
