BALE CHAMBER ARRANGEMENT FOR AN AGRICULTURAL BALER
An agricultural baler includes a main bale chamber extending in a bale forming direction from an inlet end to an outlet end. The main bale chamber includes a plurality of stationary walls and a plurality of movable density doors positioned downstream from the stationary walls, relative to the bale forming direction. The stationary walls include a ceiling, a first side wall and a second side wall. A plunger compresses and moves the crop material from the inlet end towards the outlet end of the bale chamber. The baler is characterized in that the first side wall, the second side wall and/or the ceiling comprises a constriction surface, which constricts the main bale chamber in a direction transverse to the bale forming direction.
DYNAMIC RESISTANCE GENERATOR FOR SQUARE BALER
A baler implement may include a frame, a first panel, a plunger, and a hook mechanism. The frame has a central longitudinal axis. The first panel partially forms a compression chamber for compressing crop therein. The plunger is operable to reciprocate within the compression chamber to provide a compressive force to compress crop material in the compression chamber into a flake against a plurality of other flakes of a currently forming bale and is operable to move the currently forming bale through the compression chamber. The hook mechanism is positioned on the first panel and is operable to engage the currently forming bale inside the compression chamber to resist the compressive force applied by the plunger to increase compression of the crop material within the compression chamber.

System and method for baling agricultural crop material
An agricultural baler. The agricultural bailer includes a baling chamber, a first plunger, a second surface opposing the first plunger, and a track assembly. The baling chamber includes a first wall and a second wall. Each of the first wall and the second wall includes a slot extending along a length of the baling chamber. The first plunger is moveable within the baling chamber and is configured to compress a compressible material into a bale. The second surface is configured to support the compressible material within the baling chamber. Each of the first plunger and the second surface includes a slot aligned with the slots of the first wall and the second wall. The track assembly includes a gated channel and is disposed within the slots of the first wall, the second wall, the first plunger, and the second surface such that the track assembly substantially surrounds the baling chamber.
Retractable blocks in the doors of a large square baler
An agricultural baler has a bale chamber for the compression of crop into bales with a floor, ceiling, and two walls. A plunger forces crop into the bale chamber. An actuator system presses the ceiling and walls of the bale chamber inward. At least one retractable friction block in the ceiling or walls is used to increase the compression and density of the crop. The friction blocks extend inwards as an increasing function of either decreased pressure being exerted against the ceiling or walls by the crop being baled, or inward displacement of the ceiling or walls by the actuator system.
