Direct Printing and Printer
A printer for direct printing on a print substrate comprises a front support supporting a printing device; the front support to be arranged at a front side of a print substrate and to be aligned relative to a rear support across the print substrate in a contact-less manner.
Adjusting tension of a substrate
An example method comprises operating a drive unit to advance a substrate in a substrate advance direction toward a printing station. At the printing station, a first line is printed onto the substrate. A drive unit is instructed to advance the substrate in the substrate advance direction by a target amount, and a second line is printed onto the substrate. The distance between the first and second lines in a direction perpendicular to the substrate advance direction is calculated and, based on the calculated difference, a tension of the substrate is modified.

Image forming apparatus
The present invention provides an image forming apparatus including: a first moving member pressed and moved by an openable/closable member when the openable/closable member is opened, and switching a cartridge from a state where the cartridge is positioned in an image forming position to a state where the positioning is released; and a second moving member pressed and moved by the openable/closable member when the openable/closable member is opened, and moving the exposure member from an exposure position to a retracted position, wherein when the positioning of the cartridge is released, a reaction force applied from the first moving member to the openable/closable member reaches a first peak, when the exposure member is moved to the retracted position, a reaction force applied from the second moving member to the openable/closable member reaches a second peak, and timing of the first peak is different from timing of the second peak.

ALIGNMENT BAR METROLOGY FOR PRINTERS
A method, a printing device and a calibration module to check an alignment element of a printer by comparing a relative alignment of a calibration mark with respect to a reference mark, wherein the calibration mark indicates an alignment of the alignment element and the reference mark indicates an alignment of a printhead scanning direction of the printer.

Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a medium, a suction unit configured to suction the medium, a control unit configured to control the conveyance unit and the suction unit, and a communication interface configured to communicate with a server apparatus. The control unit performs preliminary conveyance in which the conveyance unit conveys the medium in a state where the suction unit performs suction, measures a load determination value that changes in accordance with a conveyance load of the medium in the preliminary conveyance, acquires a conveyance load coefficient on a basis of the load determination value and a suction force of the suction unit, and transmits, to the server apparatus through the communication interface, the conveyance load coefficient or parameter determination information, together with medium type information about a type of the medium. the parameter determination information includes the load determination value and the suction force.
Image forming apparatus, position detection method, and computer-readable medium
An image forming apparatus is configured to detect, from image data of a recording medium on which a plurality of marks are printed, positions of outer edges being edges closer to ends of the image data and positions of inner edges being inside edges not closer to the ends of the image data in both of a first direction and a second direction different from the first direction; identify, with respect to a target mark for which a reference position is to be detected and two marks adjacent to the target mark, first line segments connecting positions of inner edges and second line segments connecting positions of outer edges; and detect, as a reference position of the target mark, a midpoint of a line segment connecting an intersection of the two first line segments and an intersection of the two second line segments.
Arrangement and Assembly of a Set of Wristbands
An arrangement and/or assembly of a set of wristbands is disclosed. In some implementations, an arrangement of a set of wristbands may include a first wristband formed from a first portion of the wristband web. The arrangement may include a second wristband formed from a second portion of the wristband web. The first length of the first wristband may be different from a second length of the second wristband. The arrangement may include a cut formation, in the wristband web, that is between the first wristband and the second wristband. The cut formation may be configured to enable the first wristband to be separated from the second wristband.
